I am always hearing that women actually find this attractive but is it really true?

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

it makes t-shirts a pain.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

"a bit"

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

"belly"

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

If it is true what is so great about it?

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

What is the male equivalent of 36-24-36?

n/a (Nick A.), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I never understand those measurement things.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:56 (twenty-one years ago)

a pot-belly humbles the man.

sexyDancer, Monday, 30 August 2004 20:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I like women with a bit of a belly, serious.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

test scores?

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

It's the measurement of bust, waist, and ass in inches around. 36-24-36 is actually kinda ridiculous.

n/a (Nick A.), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"do you like my pot?"

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

My girlfriend doesn't seem to mind. I think my measurements are 38-34. Um, wtf would my hips measure? Where would I measure then from? Who knows.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

It's chest-waist-hips.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like an actual non-male person to confirm or deny.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks. We can stop now.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

DO YOU NOT HAVE GIRLFRIENDS? LIKE, EVER? Surely this is one of the first thing a lusty teenage boy learns?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude, I'm married.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I do not understand what I am writing.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

How much is a bit of a belly, tho?

For instance, I'd say I have a lot of a belly, not just a bit of one.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

But no, i guess I hung out with a different crowd as a teenager.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

this is myth, adam.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I think we have an actual debate.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

But I have the middle-aged woman lower-abdomen pooch thing that looks excellent hidden with pleats and/or high-waisted pants.

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

my former roommate was really into donal logue

i'm with jess though

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

whereas my love of the lardy lassy is no joke, my friend.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Are we arguing about bellies, women's measurements, or golf?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

i think when girls say they like men who have a "bit of a belly" they mean "and otherwise he's totally fit"

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

That describes me then!

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

fuck off

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

You love me really.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Wouldn't that look a bit weird, tho?

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a bit of a belly.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Do women find you attractive?

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

mandee think bruce willis in his "sloppier" roles

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I mean I think Jack Black and Phillip Seymour-Hoffman are swoonable. Don't they have bellies? Plus jess what you just described above is what I usually think guys mean when they say THEY like 'a bit of a belly' ..

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

i know this is gonna sound like typical jess maudlin self-dep but i am really amazed to think there have been women who wanted to see me naked. there are not very many people i'd actually want to see naked, really. it's got nothing to do with body type or weight or anything.

i don't like a "bit" of belly on a girl. i like a belly.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

For instance, I totally dig Jack Black

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

jack black and phil sh are fat, btw

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i sort of suspect i don't really want the kind of girl who gets off on phillip seymour-hoffman.

(jess continues to be otm.)

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, but what is aesthetically good about a belly? Is it a sign that someone enjoys high living, that they are not obsessed with their their figure?

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

So do I take a picture of my belly and link it then or what?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Pictures of bellies tend to be misleading.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know adaml, some do, some don't. I have heard some girls say they don't like skinny or muscly guys so maybe this isn't a total myth. I think by bit of a belly they may mean pot belly and no excess weight anywhere else, like beer belly or something.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:10 (twenty-one years ago)

jess OTMFM

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Well great, now I feel like a creep.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, but what is aesthetically good about a belly? Is it a sign that someone enjoys high living, that they are not obsessed with their their figure?
-- adam. (adamr...), August 30th, 2004.

aesthetic or mechanic?

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno, I like bellies, I like guys I wouldn't break in half. I guess I just prefer bigger guys.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

a bit of a belly, how about college beer pooch?

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

there's nothing inherently "good" about them, adam, but what is there in uselessness to cause you distress?

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really prefer anything, actually. I just appreciate most things. THERE.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, but what is aesthetically good about a belly? Is it a sign that someone enjoys high living, that they are not obsessed with their their figure?

they're cute! what's so aesthetically good about a flat stomach?

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

jess...
*zen*

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I can;t think of a thing. Eat a cheeseburger.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

meditate not on the belly but the importance of the belly which of course has no importance at all

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a bit of one and I believe it was once described as 'cozy' -- I can live with that!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Luna, don't put ideas in my head.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

shit that reminds me my food is probably burned by now

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

btw, I don't want you all thinking I am some sort of belly nazi! I am merely hypothesising here, I'm undecided on this particular subject (flat bellies vs, round ones). Both are quite appealing to me, really.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, Boots, I'm just hungry.

But yeah, what Mandee said is so completely OTMFM: I don't really prefer anything, actually. I just appreciate most things. THERE.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah i think i have an unfair (ha ha) rep as a chubby chaser here when i've been involved with just as many skinny girls

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I have an important query, having to do with preference - sorta - why are there no blonde guys?

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

the truth is that all kinds of men and women like all kinds of different things. Some dudes like girls with bellies, some ladies like dudes with bellies, some people like to be pissed or shat upon. Hopefully you can find the person that most fulfills your need to be loved and is receptive to receiving your love. That's all there is to it.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Mandee couldn't be more OTMFM.

xpost cause we don't dye our hair like all the "blonde" girls.

oops (Oops), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

In other news, I've decided that I need a hippie boyfriend.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Piss on me, hstencil.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

i really hate the politicizing of sexual tastes here, or rather, i think it's done too hastily a lot of the time.

hstencil, you're being all dan savage

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

One that looks like William Zabka.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

xpost cause we don't dye our hair like all the "blonde" girls.

Clearly you have never been to Los Angeles.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Oops you should bleach your hair. Then I'd call you Blonde Ambition.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I have been blonde.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

kind of.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Pics pls.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I was blonde, once. For a few months. Actually it was probably more ornage.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

im fuckin blonde

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Mostly I like "a bit of a belly" on girls because I like resting my hand on it when lying next to her.

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:21 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.frontiernet.net/~gerry/honey/images_title/blonde--guy-coke-cut-fixed.jpg

amateur!!st, Monday, 30 August 2004 21:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't put peroxide on dark brown hair - will NO ONE LISTEN TO ME?

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm Okay, You're Okay

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't like pissing on people, otherwise I prolly would've posted to that thread already.

i really hate the politicizing of sexual tastes here, or rather, i think it's done too hastily a lot of the time.

yeah, totally otm amateur!st.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Pics pls.

I don't think I have any! I don't like to be photographed. I do have some photos of me with a terrible beard, but they are not coming anywhere near ILX.

I had highlights.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe I should go blonde.. hmmm.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:23 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm thinking of shaving my head.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Do it - you have the perfect skin & eye color.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Which was meant for Mandee, but hey, it would work for jess, too

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Who wants to see my belly then?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

http://img14.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img14&image=11216.jpg
longer now, but you get it. dirty blonde duude

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

i've done it before. it's my backup for when i can finally no longer say i am just "balding".

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Who knew Brock looked like Lars Ulrich on MDMA?

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

and that girl...

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, she's adorable

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Mandee, you'd look good blonde, I'm certain.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Blonde AND tan!

My worries about being blonde is that I'll appear as a ghostly white apparition in photos.. like my sister does.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

but blondes with very fair skin look so pretty

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

yea the girl = old hippy fling.
and fuck the lars thing. hes a midget

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I am totally not linking my belly because it is pale and brock is tanned.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

i wonder where those photos of me in my underwear on here went

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah dude brock you're more Josh Homme as a blonde.

Meanwhile I am still very Brian Wilson-esque, so ladies...

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's see it!!!!

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I used to dye my hair all sorts of colors, including blonde. And I was BRIGHT blonde as a kid. I guess for awhile I was in denial of having lost my fair hair.

oops (Oops), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:28 (twenty-one years ago)

WARNING - Sick Mouthy has a pale belly. It is also quite hairy. Although you can't see that so much here.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:29 (twenty-one years ago)

dude i'll take the josh homme . SO MANLY

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Here is a much nicer picture.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v236/njsouthall/canonaugust30th2004013.jpg

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Mandee, don't go blonde.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i have the biggest stupid girly crush on josh homme. i met him once and almost passed out from a combination of lust/fear.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

belly somewhat visible (along with shiny forehead, bad haircut) in Spencer Chow FAP pics thread. No I'm not gonna freakin' link it.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I liked the first one.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

tranquil sunset vs. nice pot? uhH I gotta go with the pot!!

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:32 (twenty-one years ago)

brock do you do free weights or do you stick to the machines? I am trying to incorporate more free lifting into my routine, there's nothing like that nice warm feeling in your upper arms after you've been benching to Shellac for a good 40 minutes.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:32 (twenty-one years ago)

it doesn't really matter if mandee goes blonde or not because no one can tear their gaze away from her EYES

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I took the sunset photo during an 8 mile bikeride = the pot shall lose. Or maybe not.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Mandee, looking like your sister wouldn't be so bad anyway - maybe people will ask you if you're Drew Barrymore too!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:34 (twenty-one years ago)

for arms and chest i do free weights. for legs i use a squat machine and stomach, nautilus/too many leg lifts. stomach has been main concentration dude. the beer it has been aflowin since i moved up north.
soundtrack for todays workout = misfits - collection ii

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't bother with leg lifts, maybe I should.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:35 (twenty-one years ago)

GET THIS FILTH OFF MY BELLY THREAD!

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

oh god they ROCK YOU. i mean, old fashion sit ups are great, but to "cut it up" leg lifts have worked in the past.

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay I value Alba's opinion too much - I'll stick to boring mousy brown.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v209/Mandalion/coyness.jpg

HI MOOKIEPROOF

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Mice get a bad rap.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

you gorgeous thing.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

mandee, your hair cannot be mousey. you use terax crema.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Mandee = teh lush.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

exactly!

i was walking around nashville in june with my friends and their two-and-a-half year-old daughter when we passed an older portly gentleman. lily yelled, 'YOU GOTTA BIG BELLY!' happily, he politely agreed.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, mousy brown is allright actually.. quite glossy. You know - alive!

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:39 (twenty-one years ago)

leg lifts it is. What a useful thread.

adam. (nordicskilla), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Who is that, N.?

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:41 (twenty-one years ago)

it's josh homme and brody dalle. that picture is from the night i met them, oddly enough. she shared her champagne with me, oblivious to any evil designs i had on her man.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:41 (twenty-one years ago)

she is also totally dreamy, but not in that photo.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

see, he throws it up in duck butt fashion like me. but that face OMG ...stone cold chiseled

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah josh homme is hot. it's the arms.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno - he kind of looks like this mormon kid I knew who farted in class a lot.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:44 (twenty-one years ago)

And the ginger.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:44 (twenty-one years ago)

he's got the best shoulders. fuck bellies. it's all about shoulders.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I love men with arms.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I like men with eyes.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:46 (twenty-one years ago)

you dont love men at all. stop trying to be momus.

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:47 (twenty-one years ago)

xpost, i think

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:47 (twenty-one years ago)

What about dicks?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:47 (twenty-one years ago)

i think they are rad lookin. just not up close.

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Momus hates men with arms. Always has, always will.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i though he hated men with two eyes

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

or is that two testicles

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

what about 'love handles' then?

love handles make you look like a greek god if managed correctly.

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I like men with big bellies because they make my belly seem smaller.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:00 (twenty-one years ago)

This is also why fat men like women with big boobs.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:04 (twenty-one years ago)

how does one correctly manage love handles?

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:05 (twenty-one years ago)

see, ok, some dudes are just big right?? they naturually are CURVY. Like womens hips, men sometimes have curvy sides dude.

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:07 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm not really concerned about my belly i just dont like these love handles that jut out

(the belly is visible on lots of other threads that I won't bother posting to)

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:11 (twenty-one years ago)

my one rule is that i'll never date a woman with an ass smaller than mine

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i really hate the politicizing of sexual tastes here, or rather, i think it's done too hastily a lot of the time.

i don't know whether i agree or disagree with this! sexual tastes are inextricable from politics, which is not to say sexual tastes are dictated by culture/politics unilaterally. just that i find a discussion of how people negotiate this stuff interesting, as long as the discussion is more PROductive (and respectful) than REductive.

men and women who have a bit of belly, a lot of belly, or who are fat all over = CLASSIC. skinny people are kinda nice too. its really all about having good hair tho. whatever that means. i'm not actually as catholic of taste as i make myself sound. i hardly find any celebrities attractive.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:17 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't have that rule, apparently. i only ask that they have larger breasts. (xpost)

artdamages (artdamages), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:17 (twenty-one years ago)

i thought maybe there was a special lighting technique involved in love handle management.

im worried about the smell underneath em....

brock (brock), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm not actually as catholic of taste as i make myself sound. i hardly find any celebrities attractive.

these two statements seem incongruous to me. Tho I'm not so into celebrities, either.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 30 August 2004 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 00:49 (twenty-one years ago)

hey stence, can you explain why those two statements seem incongruous to you?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:00 (twenty-one years ago)

is it because you believe celebrities are a vast range of body types?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

the massive stiff handle

Projecting a bit there, perhaps.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I assumed he meant the opposite - celebs all look the same, so if you were trying to provide evidence that your tastes are actually narrower than you'd been previously making out, it would have made more sense if you'd gone on to say you were into celebs, with their homogenity of body shapes.

But I'm not hstencil.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm not really sure why there are so few celebrities i dig. and the ones i do crush on tend to be people i would likely find utterly repugnant if i met them, like paris hilton and slash. when i try to reason it, theres always loopholes. too much makeup? but some girls look great with makeup! not enough range in body/facial/whatever types? well, there are exceptions, and i tend not to find them attractive either. perhaps its more associated with the idea of celebrity itself. though what specific aspect of celebrity is offputting for me is hard to define.

but i digress. when layna said bellies are better to hug, she is sooooo OTM.

(xpost) i guess the point i was trying to make is that celebrities are a whole kind of people i don't find attractive, thus my taste is narrower for it.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I have an important query, having to do with preference - sorta - why are there no blonde guys?

I know at least 4 blonde guys personally, honest! Though in fairness two are only dark blonde.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:19 (twenty-one years ago)

seriuosly ladies, i've got the natural blonde. if you wanta a serious online commitment, then curtains match the rugz. YEOW

brock (brock), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:38 (twenty-one years ago)

so if i say that 1. i don't have any belly, and 2. i like girls who don't have any bellies, will people somehow read something political into that?
my reasons (for me and her):
1. feels good to be fit, and though you can be fit with a belly, you have to make an effort...
2. fits clothes better, and looks better in most clothes
3. got plenty of time to get heavier, and it'll only get easier to do later on.
4. a lot (by no means all or majority) of people with big bellies feel weird / unsure about their appearance, and are less fun to be around, cos they don't eat / dance/ strip as they could.
In my experience, the popularly held-flipside (that skinnier people are more uptight / neurotic about appearance) just isn't true.

paulhw (paulhw), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:40 (twenty-one years ago)

will people somehow read something political into that?

I'll read something else into it, and it's not very polite.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i wouldn't say people with big bellies are any more or less concerned with appearance than thin people.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:51 (twenty-one years ago)

but see, ned, that's what i'm saying: if it's aesthetic (each to his / her own etc) then why the animosity? is it my rationale? if so, which part?

paulhw (paulhw), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 01:54 (twenty-one years ago)

it might be a common (mis)conception that people with guts don't care about their bodies. WHAT IF YOU'RE naturally blessed with a gut Or if you're making a statement about your body. People with guts could be saying "I don't like fruit!" or "Hotdog eating contest? I'M IN!"

brock (brock), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:02 (twenty-one years ago)

In high school a friend of mine went into a big rant about how he wished he could find a girl who could TAKE A STEAK, who wouldn't eat a little and talk about how much she'd have to run tomorrow but instead would just TAKE A STEAK, eat it all and not be self-conscious afterwards.

Since then I have had a fondness for people who look like they can "take a steak."

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

looking like you can take a steak is not the same as having a belly though. I know lots of folks with padding who can't take a steak. I bet Brody Dalle can take a steak.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:51 (twenty-one years ago)

btw I really hope people are sneaking into both Homme & Dalle's respective abodes daily, trying to find their secret sex video so it can be shared with the rest of us.

Begs2Differ (Begs2Differ), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

hey paul, perhaps you should explain this statement:

In my experience, the popularly held-flipside (that skinnier people are more uptight / neurotic about appearance) just isn't true

in light of your other statements:

1.feels good to be fit, and though you can be fit with a belly, you have to make an effort...
2. fits clothes better, and looks better in most clothes

also, i take issues with the idea that taste is simple a matter of aesthetics, because nothing is ever just aesthetic. because your right - if having a flat tummy means you fit clothes better, and therefore LOOKS better, why is it that clothes often aren't manufactured to fit big bellies and make them look great? is it because the manufacturers are designing clothes for the ideal body shape? how is that not political?

is it because you believe celebrities are a vast range of body types?

-- The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylure...), August 31st, 2004.

Yeah, Alba got it right. Celebs are (generally) a pretty narrow range of types, and aside from the whole weirdness of fantasizing about people I don't know, I'm not really interested in what's held up as the ideal body, or whatever. Which is not to say that I haven't dated and/or been attracted to skinny women, I have. Just that typical beauty is, well, typical.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:26 (twenty-one years ago)

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Who gives a shit whether a person has a belly or no belly? What the fuck people? Seriously? Why does some variant on this topic come up like every 5 months? If a person looks good to you, they look good. If a person looks shit to you, they look shit. It don't matter to Jesus. So so and so's type is chicks with no bellies. So this dude over here, he likes chicks who look like 17th century paintings. So I like dudes what are skinny, but two chicks here are like "Jack Black is yummylicious". It's all cool. The only problem with the whole thing is, like, some kind of disturbing set of preconceptions everyone's got (I know "weight blessed" people who are neurotic as fuck about what they eat--like someone else said, what if you are just naturally that way whether you want it or not? And I got a pretty flat stomach, but I can eat the shit out of some burgers and steaks. It's cos the burgers and steaks go to my thighs and arms, not my stomach. IT'S ALL GOD PEOPLE. GOD AND THE AMOUNT OF COKE YOU DRINK).

Seriously, just think about it. It's all good. And God.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:31 (twenty-one years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:39 (twenty-one years ago)

oh okay Ally, I was posting this:

the truth is that all kinds of men and women like all kinds of different things. Some dudes like girls with bellies, some ladies like dudes with bellies, some people like to be pissed or shat upon. Hopefully you can find the person that most fulfills your need to be loved and is receptive to receiving your love. That's all there is to it.

and being told to piss on a dude. Which is way grosser than anybody's belly (probably).

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, no, I read your post, like a while before I posted mine and then totally forgot it was there, but sometimes you gotta post these things with more vengeance. Vengeance and hellfire, hstencil. That's what the internet is about.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:46 (twenty-one years ago)

doesn't posting like that get me into too much trouble already?

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:49 (twenty-one years ago)

no thanks, I'm trying to cut back.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I just think it should be pointed out that anyone who feels paranoid about theirselves should just realize that whatever they feel their freakishness or deformity or unattractiveness is, there is porn out there, on the internet, featuring people who EXACTLY meet your description. It's true, I'd bet my life.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

it's more complicated than that ally

amateur!!!st (amateurist), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

sadly people do give a fuck about whether you have a big belly or not. just last weekend i overheard my mother talking nastily about some girl in the pub who not only had a big belly but was displaying it for all to see. as long as some people are body fascists, it ISN'T all good. i would like to live in utopia too, but i'm not going to bury my head in the ground and pretend like its all a big postmodern playpen out there. and some people like to be reassured that there are others out there who find their type attractive. isn't it nice to get reassurance?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:53 (twenty-one years ago)

and not people searching arcane forms of pornography either

amateur!!!st (amateurist), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:54 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, that's why you find people who like and are attracted to you and ignore those who don't.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:55 (twenty-one years ago)

and aren't.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, the thing is, it doesn't exactly sound like that girl gave a shit that other people are "body fascists". It sounds like she was enjoying herself and probably attracting people who enjoy looking at her. You can't make people be attracted to fat people any more than you can make people be attracted to skinny people. It's just an aesthetic preference. Like I said, the preconceptions attached to either side--not good. But you can't MAKE people not be like that and the more people just get over it and AREN'T neurotic and self-concious, the more everyone just enjoys life.

Quite frankly, I don't consider it "burying my head in the ground." I consider it "not giving a shit about people whose opinions are worthless to me".

xpost what hstence to the l said.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

the more people just get over it and AREN'T neurotic and self-concious, the more everyone just enjoys life

but you make it sound so EASY. its NOT.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I found it is. But OTOH I'm kind of sociopathic.

Anyway, people's tastes change. You might be like, "Ugh guy with belly" and then meet the RIGHT guy with belly. This is probably a big reason why I don't care so much about it. To be totally honest, the way I think of myself has pretty much nothing to do with how others view me or how much reassurance I get anyway, it is entirely based on internal neuroticism that crops up depending on the amount of totally unrelated stress I'm going through, so again I think this quite helps to skew my view point.

However, I still don't think it's completely insane for people to consider the idea that they shouldn't give a shit about people who aren't interested in them.

Also, I think it's pretty reasonable to suggest that one shouldn't have a thread asking "classic/dud" when people who say "actually I think it's dud" are gonna be automatically yelled at. People abuse the classic or dud function, just start a thread called "Men who have a bit of belly" and make is a reassurance thread if that's what it is meant to be, in total.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:05 (twenty-one years ago)

it's not easy, and I definitely admit to having some neurotic and self-conscious moments. But putting myself out there and looking for people that I'm attracted to and are attracted to me are what makes me feel better, and to do that it takes some effort to not be neurotic and self-conscious.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

well, okay, the looking part not so much, but the finding and loving and all that, yeah that's great.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

although sometimes the looking can be kinda fun too.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

this is a really weird thread, IMHO. I used to be tubby, but I'm skinny now. I don't know where I stand, but I've been having trouble getting pants that fit.

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:12 (twenty-one years ago)

would've been even more if your countrymen weren't all on holiday.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

the "white girls with big asses" thread was a precedent, assuredly.

amateur!!!st (amateurist), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:15 (twenty-one years ago)

My countrymen are on holidaY? Oh that's right.

I never really read that "white girls with big asses" thread.

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 04:15 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm not saying that people can help being attracted to who they are attracted to, i'm not saying that people can actively try to change what they find aesthetically pleasing. i agree that people who don't find big bellies attractive shouldn't be yelled at for it, but said people shouldn't claim that their tastes are removed from culture and politics, because thats blatantly untrue. finding small bellies attractive is no less culturally and politically innocent than my thing for fatties.

i think its great that you find it so easy to not care what other people think ally. i'd just like for some sensitivity towards those who don't find it as easy as you do. isn't it nice that this thread exists, so that maybe someone can read it and maybe get a sense that they might be attractive? am i sounding like a hippy yet? maybe its time to go home...

nostalgia for the days before body fascism had spread to men. as an undergraduate, i'd see korean couples who were international students and i'd always think that the women were better looking than the men and it would seem unfair but maybe it worked out for them.

youn, Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:28 (twenty-one years ago)

i should so post a picture of teh belly. but i won't.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 09:54 (twenty-one years ago)

As to the "no matter what you look like someone will find you attractive", I knew a guy who had cancer in his 20s or 30s or something. He had to have a big chunk of his jaw removed, and for whatever reason they never did reconstructive surgery, so one side of his face was kind of caved-in looking near the jaw/chin. His nurse from when he had cancer fell in love with him and married him and they were married for an age. Upon first meeting him, I'm sure lots of people (including me) were kind of taken aback at his very asymmetrical face. But you'd talk to him for a while and he was considerate and charming and cool, and after a bit it wouldn't matter how he looked.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

"were married for an age" What happened then?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

friend of mine used to go out out with a man-with-a-belly and she used to like to punch him in the belly all the time. she'd give him fair warning and he would prepare for the gut punch. she also emjoyed being crushed by him whenever he was on top. she was like 85 pounds

kephm (kephm), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

He got cancer again a few years ago, and passed away. He was 60. (xp)

JuliaA (j_bdules), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Lauren -- had I been there the night you met Brody and Josh, I could have TOTALLY um, occupied Brody whilst you set your sights on Josh. Damnit all these missed opportunities!!!

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

That's both sad and sweet, Julia.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Lust, love and death in a stream of three posts -- no wonder I love this place.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I never realized bellies could be so controversial.

Lauren -- had I been there the night you met Brody and Josh, I could have TOTALLY um, occupied Brody whilst you set your sights on Josh. Damnit all these missed opportunities!!!

god had I been there I could have shot one hell of a movie.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a Belly CD.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

men who have a belly CD - classic/dud?

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

DUD.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

but jel is classic!

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

it helps if they have a throwing muses, breeders, tanya solo or the new mission of burma cd to make it classic

kephm (kephm), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I have none of those.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

A shameless belly can denote an 'I don't give a fuck' attitude, or a lack of self control. Both of which can be k kute.

mei (mei), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I had more of a belly when I was in really good shape. I was mad cyclist/running chick, but I liked to eat too.

Now my tummy's much flatter and I'm in horrible shape. Sometimes it's just...I dunno, but it's not all about being fit.

A bit of a belly on a guy is classic, or so I think lately...

JuliaA (j_bdules), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I worked hard to get rid of my belly and when I got back to London, my female friends were split in opinion between - "OMG you look fantastic" and "Barms, WHERE HAVE YOU GONE PLEASE STOP IT". I know I can't win, but that was hard. I never liked my belly much anyway, but it must be noted I certainly got more action when I had it.

R.I.M.A. (Barima), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

As the near equivalent of a woman (1.12 women, to be exact) and the possessor of a bit of a man-belly, I feel qualifed to answer this question.

The answer is: yes, indeed; they do.

Aimless The Unlogged, Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Back when I was fat, I nearly had a giggletits attack when a girl I was making out with told me I had a "sexy body".

R.I.M.A. (Barima), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

"Oooh, you such a freak, girl, would you like me to shake my big round booty for you? Do you wanna feel these squidgy lovehandles, lady? Put your hands on my manboobs, that's it, go on...get ready for some heavy love, baby, mm-mm-mmmmmmmmmmm."

Fat Usher (Barima), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Usher looks like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, he'd look better if he was fat.

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Fat Usher would be an awesome club act. Some heavy set guy prancing around singing "U Remind Me" shirtless and twirling all over the stage. If the guy's choreography was tight and voice was decent you could make some big money with Fat Usher.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

"If you enjoy pizza, you enjoy me."

isn't har mar whatsisname already doing this?

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

a) it would have to be a black guy with a shaved head

b) he would have to be singing Usher songs

c) his choreography would have to be sweet

I'm flashing through all the old Usher videos and trying to imagine Fat Usher recreating them. The spastic face-touching from "U Got It Bad" is especially pleasing.

Nicole, that's mean!

At least she picked the cool one; it could have been Michaelangelo.

(Sorry Matos, if you're reading)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 18:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Ironically it's Fat Usher that will be spinning a pizza on his finger.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I rather like to snuggle up and cuddle into my boyfriends' belly thank you very much. I don't mind them in the slightest.

Gemx, Tuesday, 31 August 2004 23:55 (twenty-one years ago)

well, usher could do with a u.s.p. apart from his annoying face. nevertheless, the indie rule prevails: slightly debauched and gamine body (on either gender) with small pot belly....THIS IS THE RULE!

minerva, Wednesday, 1 September 2004 00:05 (twenty-one years ago)

is the only way sexual desire can be discussed on this board is in terms of "i like..." or "i dislike..."? terms i find NOT VERY ENLIGHTENING.

i honestly didn't realise that the idea of politics being embedded in sexual desire would be so controversial! it seems so obvious to me - when you say "yes" or "no" to something, you say "yes" or "no" to the baggage that goes with it. i personally ABHORE the idea that sexuality is something innocent, mysterious and unexplainable. its stifling.

why must desire and politics be conceived as polar opposites? what use does it serve anyone? why is politics such a swear word in the context of desire? acknowledging the interactions of politics with desire doesn't have to be a reductive matter of "you like such-and-such thus you are conservative/liberated", and i'm sorry if i made it sound like that was what i meant... all i meant is that we should be able to debate freely about the aforementioned baggage in a respectful and intelligent manner.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 00:26 (twenty-one years ago)

on the subject of assymetrical faces... take a good look at shannen doherty's eyes. they are totally picassoed out.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 00:28 (twenty-one years ago)

"respectful and intelligent" hahaha

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Lucy, it seems like what you're kinda doing here is making a totally fair enough point abt politicised desire and all, but like are you actually surprised when people whose non-controlled "natural" (yeah yeah) tastes automatically ally themselves with discourses that are kinda horrible and reactionary and bad don't like RUN FORWARD, here?

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 01:14 (twenty-one years ago)

(I actually totally agree with your whole last big post and feel silly now)

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 01:18 (twenty-one years ago)

(I happen to like girls who look like 50s cheesecake models, and yeah the reasons for that have a lot to do with me being uncomfortable with being a faggish skinny jewboy and a lot to do with ideas of the pastoral that are probably kinda horrificly unpleasant when I stop to consider them, and I'm happy to be attacked or not on these grounds, but Ally is dead-on abt a lopsided c/d if that equals and cancels out one "I like X bcz I am MODERN") (But like I honestly do agree that that's a cooler way to be talking about it) (Um and we were discussing men anyway so I'll um sit down and go to bed).

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 01:25 (twenty-one years ago)

The big problem with asking people to talk about their sexual turn-ons beyond the "I like X and dislike Y" is that most people don't seem to think about sex and in fact believe that analyzing sex ruins it (at least that's the vibe I've gotten from every ILE sex discussion to date; they all seem to boil down to a flip-flop between "EW GET THAT PYCHOANALYSIS AWAY FROM MY HARD-ON/PUSSY FLUSH" and "maybe if I'm ironic/sensitive enough you will buy a plane ticket and fuck me").

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 01:49 (twenty-one years ago)

(Um yeah and I'm really really really sorry for "PUSSY FLUSH", won't happen again.)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 01:50 (twenty-one years ago)

are you actually surprised when people whose non-controlled "natural" (yeah yeah) tastes automatically ally themselves with discourses that are kinda horrible and reactionary and bad don't like RUN FORWARD, here?

god, you're so right, everything seems so NICE in theory but its not like i'm totally honest about aspects of my own ambivalent sexuality here either. i am such a hypocrite.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

the problem isn't acknowledging the politics of desire but doing so in a k-lame facile insulting way as so often happens here.

anyway, i laughed for about five minutes at the idea of "fat usher." i think it's golden.

amateur!!!st (amateurist), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 04:17 (twenty-one years ago)

this qusstion invites generosity and kindness, like when liv ullman says to her husband in scenes from a marriage wouldn't it be nice if we could be fat and jolly, after her husband runs off with a young woman.

youn, Wednesday, 1 September 2004 04:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"maybe if I'm ironic/sensitive enough you will buy a plane ticket and fuck me"

I can't be sure, but I think this may be the best thing Perry has ever posted.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 06:23 (twenty-one years ago)

It is. "PUSSY FLUSH" being the second best.

Being totally honest about what turns me on - women do. And sometimes men. Not all different shapes and sizes, by any means, or all colours and creeds, but people who are obviously physically and (not so obviously) mentally healthy, who have an air of confidence mixed with slight irreverence. I like ankles, tummies, breasts and faces, but mostly I like the way someone walks.

And, at the moment, considering my girlfriend of the last three years is a size 8 and quite shy, I like loud girls with ample arses and big floppy tits.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't quite follow the logic of your last sentence.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 06:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I have been with my slim girlfriend for three years and, although I love her very much etcetera, now have a hankering after burying my face in a huge pair of breasts; what's not to get?

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 06:38 (twenty-one years ago)

It's like eating eggs benedict every morning for breakfast - it may be the best breakfast ever, but after a while you're going to be gagging for sausages and hash browns and beans and black pudding.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 06:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it was the 'considering' and the relatiionship between shyness and floppy tits.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 07:10 (twenty-one years ago)

"maybe if I'm ironic/sensitive enough you will buy a plane ticket and fuck me"

*looks at plane ticket, gets paranoid*

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 07:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Who you going to see, Lucy?!

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 07:30 (twenty-one years ago)

shy = antonym for loud, innit.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 07:30 (twenty-one years ago)

after stalking slash in LA, i'm going to tucson to meet justyn. i hope he isn't really a cactus.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 07:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Be kinda cool if he was a cactus, though.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 08:06 (twenty-one years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 08:20 (twenty-one years ago)

That + spines, yeah.

Jimmybommy JimmyK'KANG (Nick Southall), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 08:41 (twenty-one years ago)

lady ms lurex has been spending too much time reading judith butler (erm, winner of the 2003 bad writing competition), and not enought time gettin' it on.

paulhw (paulhw), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

how much time searching and researching my posts did you waste to come up with that incisive one-liner?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 2 September 2004 02:40 (twenty-one years ago)

some people aka most people aren't interested in discussing sexuality in the way that you'd like them, and that may frustrate you but there's no need to look down on them/us for it. it's like if you jump into a "i like them they're great" discussion two people are having about their favorite bands, and you start talking about the Freudian neuroses that cause the lyricist to write the way he does and they're all like whatever man it's got a good beat.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 2 September 2004 04:45 (twenty-one years ago)
