Words with a Permanent Melody Attached to Them

For example.

I live in Chicago. If anyone jokes about the city, it's Sinatra singing "Chi-ca-go!" That's the permanent melody attached to Chicago.

Alison. Anyone named Alison or Allison has to endure the endless Costello association: "Aaaaaaal-ison." The melody is now part of the word.

"Leonard Bernstein" in Stipe's voice, but I dunno how universal this, or really many, of these are. Chicago may be the best, but as much as melodies permanently attached to words, I have in me mind funny accents that go with words...like Chicago, said in a Ditka-like voice. Most of my thinking is done in funny accents, though, just to keep things interesting.

brodieopolari.... oh fuck it (kelpolaris), Sunday, 5 June 2011 16:54 (fifteen years ago)

and actually the only times I've ever heard anyone actually say that were when referencing the song as a joke... ex: you jip your waiter and in response he goes "Don't do me like that (deedle-dee)! Don't do me like that (deedle-dee)". Now this hasn't actually happened to me but I definitely would employ it had I ever had the job.

And in our house, the question "What's the time?" is always and laboriously followed by "Time to get ill."
