Here is the thread for 2004! Shortland St returns on Monday, who's excited?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 06:17 (twenty-two years ago)

What does everyone think will happen?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 06:18 (twenty-two years ago)

oh thank fuck. i have missed it bad.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 06:24 (twenty-two years ago)

It looks like Anne's prob dead and Tama's injured, but it could just be a dramatic ad. Dom seems to be abducting Delphi. Can't remember what else might be happening, they're repeating the finale right?

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 07:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I got all excited about it just before! I don't have a clue what'll happen, someone will die probably and I hope it's Anne.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 08:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe Tama could become the character in the wheelchair, because Anne is clearly dead.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 09:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess me and Alex's hope that Dom and Delphi will have sex is never going to pan out then, it seems a bit late.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 10:38 (twenty-two years ago)

wow, "YOU'RE DEAD TO ME" creepy foreshadowing moment!

[yes i did reading visual texts in school c english, bite me]

petra jane (petra jane), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

... the first time I saw the preview my mum worriedly yelled "OH NO HE'S GOING TO RAPE DELPHI!" - but she could clobber him over the head with one of those big sturdy boots of the reputable ICU brand. Or Marshall will walk in for no apparent reason, maybe to announce "hey delphi your sister has been squashed by a giant block of concrete"...

alex (alex), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 10:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought he was gonna rape her, but it looks more like he's just trying to KILL her - imagine if both Anne and Delphi die, it'd be such a bad month for the Greenlaws.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 10:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Then they can die in a carcrash on their way up to the funeral

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh god!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 15:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Frankly it's a NIGHTMARE SCENARIO

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I also REALLY want Chris and Donna to work it out. All throughout the season I was wondering when Dom was going to use Chris' affair against him.

Livvie (Livvie), Saturday, 24 January 2004 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

so are they repeating the cliffhanger tonight?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 24 January 2004 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Yep, I can't wait!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Sunday, 25 January 2004 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

No wait, it's on Monday night.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Sunday, 25 January 2004 00:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Turns out I'll be home on Monday night now, so YAY.

Livvie (Livvie), Sunday, 25 January 2004 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Donna needs a real man, though. A Maori man.

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 25 January 2004 11:33 (twenty-two years ago)

i think she needs anyone but victor.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 25 January 2004 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

That was a pretty stupid thing for Victor to say to Te Hana anyway considering he was the only male Maori character on the show at the time anyway, unless he was meaning Tama, and didn't he always dislike Joe?

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 26 January 2004 02:22 (twenty-two years ago)

hahaha oh yeah i'd forgot about that.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 26 January 2004 04:16 (twenty-two years ago)

ANNE IS DEAD! dom got away, dammit, but at least delphi's alive. man bad year for the greenlaw femily huh.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 05:45 (twenty-two years ago)

So Delphi's in Cambridge for an undetermined time, Dom's in Sydney, I have an annoying feeling the whole Dom/her/Geoff plotline might just disappear now. Sh St characters aren't much good at coming back from these absences

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 29 January 2004 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a feeling it's gonna disappear too. Delphi sure as hell isn't coming back anyway. They didn't even show us the funeral!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 29 January 2004 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

And now let's all pray that Nelson and Judy get it on, as it would rule!

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Friday, 30 January 2004 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

YES!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 30 January 2004 02:37 (twenty-two years ago)

are we seeing a new side of victor? and will tash's weekend of rebellion be a wake-up call for her?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 30 January 2004 07:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes Nelson and Judy! It seems to be a common line of thinking, I was talking to Sophie about it too. They'd be the best-looking couple on Sh St.

Livvie (Livvie), Saturday, 31 January 2004 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm also in favour of Nelson and Judy. We should start a petition. Or, failing that, write a letter to the TV Guide.

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 31 January 2004 01:45 (twenty-two years ago)

My sister didn't tape it blah blah. What happened?

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 2 February 2004 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Donna called Tash and told the guy she was 18, Chris can't become the new CEO until he's cleared of charges, Delphi painted Marshall and just as they were kissing her dad walked in and was all "Oh so this is why yr moving to auckland" and I can't remember what else happened.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 2 February 2004 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Victor wants to spend more time postjob w/the whanau, cos they're everything to him. Sticky's wondering where Barb went w/Judy. Li Mei wants to become an um obstetrics (I'm prob way wrong w/that term) surgeon, Logan and Sticky are dubious as she is small and female. Oh and Logan's the acting CEO as E. no doubt remembers. And Delphi and Marshall make a horrible couple.

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 February 2004 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Also I'm really really glad I was wrong about Delphi disappearing! Welcome back, Delphi. I hope you brought the murder plotline w/you.

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 February 2004 11:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I missed tonight's episode, so thanks fellas!
There's no problem with someone small and girly being specialising in obstetrics, tho. At a guess, she probably wants to be an orthopedic surgeon. To be an orthopedic surgeon you have to be strong as an ox, and twice as smart!
Sorry, little medical humour there.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 2 February 2004 11:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah that must be it, sorry

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 February 2004 11:54 (twenty-two years ago)

What's the difference?

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 2 February 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Obstetrics is the care of women during pregnancy, whereas orthopedics is to do with the bones and joints. Some orthopedic surgery, especially fixing up hips and stuff, requires a lot of muscle.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 2 February 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Yep it was orthopedic

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 2 February 2004 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I should know this shit, my dad's a doctor. Though little does HE know, see the infamous broken leg story.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 2 February 2004 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Infamous? Do tell!

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 00:35 (twenty-two years ago)

That is such a good story.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

"My Dad says I'm allowed to go out with any other boys, just not you."
Hahahahahahaha! They make that guy out to be such a bad father, then he goes and makes the parenting call of the decade!

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

It's funny how Delphi's suddenly gotten all obedient, tho it's good in that it'll keep her away from the sickening clutches of Marshall. I'm really impressed w/how he's doing his best to hurt her into doing him just after Anne's died, what a cool guy!

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Nelson and Mrs Cotton are gonna make hot love soon

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i haven't seen shortland street for three days. what happened?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 8 February 2004 09:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit, I don't know how much I can remember. Victor's being nice once more, he wants to set up a clinic for homeless people at his place w/Tama and Shannon on soup/counselling. Nelson's buying Mrs Cotton's place off her, V's paying the deposit. Li Mei and Logan had a patient die on them, there's a debate over who's to blame for her being given penicillin (she was allergic). Sticky proposed to Barb at T/S's engagement party! Marshall's moping around and annoying Delphi. Logan's a crappy head guy but big surprise there, he just pisses off on cheesy dates w/Toni all the time.

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 8 February 2004 09:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Has anyone else noticed that Nick's voice seems to have broken recently?

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 12 February 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

It's probably just that he talks more now. Last night he managed to make jokes about the nuclear family and give Donna advice, whereas bfore he would've just grunted.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 13 February 2004 02:35 (twenty-two years ago)

so do you think marshall's gonna go christian now that he's been touched by an angel, and end up in delphi's parents' good books so he can root her?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 13 February 2004 07:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris Knox's song "chemicals are our friends" has snippets of Shortland Street dialogue at the end... evil Daryl saying about how a coupld of people drowned. And Kirsty saying "sounds like Daryl to me" and some other stuff.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 13 February 2004 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

one month passes...
Shoryland Street! I miss talking about it. I REALLY REALLY don't want Toni to get back w/ Logan. Who heard Li Mei's Mint Chicks reference yesterday? The guy who wanted to get w/ her asked her what music she liked and she said "Nothing you'd have heard of" and then they were her example! Cause they're, like, SO obsure! It was pretty funny how she claimed to be into kinda underground/indie music and then refused to date the punk band guy cause he made too little money, like anyone in relatively unknown bands does.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 22:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I love the way Li Mei dropped that guy flat and called him a "loser muso" when she figured out he didn't have cancer. She's my hero!

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 22:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah she was pretty great overall last night. I think she should go on a date w/ one of the Mint Chicks doing a guest appearance.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:57 (twenty-two years ago)

"Shortland" and "obscure" in my first post. I hate typos.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 18 March 2004 01:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah it's about time the Mint Chicks were on Shortland St! Seeing as how they're like the only Auckland band that hasn't.

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 18 March 2004 01:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah they sure like to support New Zealand music. And um the Smiths, they're the only non-NZ band I've ever heard name-checked on Sh St. Wonder what "Morrissey" thinks of that?

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 18 March 2004 01:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I think the person who found this board googling for "Emmeline Hawthorne naked" should post.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 18 March 2004 03:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Me too!

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 18 March 2004 04:48 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahaha. i really don't want toni to get back with logan either.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 18 March 2004 07:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd like Logan better if he didn't give everyone stupid nicknames. George Bush does that, too.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 19 March 2004 05:42 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not that I dislike Logan (though I do, and I don't like Toni too much either tho. she's gotten more likeable lately), more the whole SITUATION. I'm glad she's not relenting this time.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 19 March 2004 12:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Toni and Li Mei should pash! After going to see the Mint Chicks together!

rainy (rainy), Saturday, 20 March 2004 00:49 (twenty-two years ago)

"Who loves who the most"?? Eh? Who! That isn't even the question, Tv2, nice try tho

AnAndrew, Thursday, 25 March 2004 06:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Is it just me or is Shortland Street really GOOD and INVOLVING at the moment? I can't wait till Monday. Also Li Mei's relationship w/ the funeral guy somehow seems really creepy, and what else has that actor been in?

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 March 2004 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha he seems rather gay

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 March 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

He's got a tattoo of the Grim Reaper on his back! Their whole relationship seems unnatural, they're really stiff together. Hahaha "stiff", that was totally unintentional I promise.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 March 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

God yr gross

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 March 2004 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

DEAD PEOPLE you creep!

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 March 2004 22:46 (twenty-two years ago)

he was in a drink driving commercial.

rainy (rainy), Sunday, 28 March 2004 21:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Man, I missed Shorty all last week! I'll try and catch up tonight.

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 28 March 2004 22:56 (twenty-two years ago)

i saw vinnie sitting behind fiona on nz idol last night

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 29 March 2004 04:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I watched two episodes stoned in reverse order w/E. tonight and I'm really confused about what's happening

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 31 March 2004 14:08 (twenty-two years ago)

is it me or is shortland street really boring at the moment? layla just isn't being psycho enough for my liking.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 31 March 2004 21:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I was gonna say, all the storylines seem kinda petty and contrived. Even moreso than usual! Hopefully that gravedigger guy will turn out to be the new uberpsycho.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 31 March 2004 22:00 (twenty-two years ago)

can you guys let me know when shortland street starts getting exciting again?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 1 April 2004 05:53 (twenty-two years ago)

OMG, Di, that moment is now! I was watching it last night and i was absoluetly ENTHRALLED. I's exciting in a kind of psychological/human relationships kind of way though, rather than burning cars and evil kidnappings and all that.

rainy (rainy), Friday, 2 April 2004 03:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Rainy, yes! I think so too. Ha ha Anton what do you watch it for if not the petty/contrived storylines? It's a SOAP OPERA.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 2 April 2004 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

hmmm, i'm gonna start watching next week for the layla's=lies-exposed craziness.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 3 April 2004 03:20 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
Its friday,i bet logan is goign to blackmail toni using poor harry or something.Harry is so cute!

Miss Lucy, Thursday, 22 April 2004 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

that post was not by me.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 22 April 2004 23:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Delphi needs a new boyfriend, who should it be? I vote CHRIS.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 23 April 2004 03:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Seconded. She can sit on his lap and cuddle and kiss him while he holds serious meetings w/Nick where Nick goes "this isn't good for our image" and Chris just grins confidently

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 23 April 2004 10:44 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
SHANNON AND VINNIE! Who's in favour of this? I am.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 10:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm in favour of someone hurrying up and falling off that roof already. They've been up there for, what, a week now? Tho I missed the last half of last night so maybe someone has.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 02:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Yep Vinnie fell through the roof if I remember rightly. And NO! How could you want Shannon and Tama to break up??

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 02:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Because they are boring! And I love Shortland Street's ridiculous improbable plotlines that come out of nowhere and defy the rules of character.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 09:47 (twenty-two years ago)

LAYLA'S BACK! FUCKING A!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

She is?! No fucking way!!! Missed it tonight, PLEASE tell me everything that happened??? Please?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 20 May 2004 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

There was some emergency where a couple was bought in, they'd been in a car crash where they were driving and another car had swerved straight across the road and smashed into them at a high speed. The guy was okay but the woman probably had to have her leg amputated and was in a coma and it was all tragic etc, and then they bought in the mental driver and it turned out to be LAYLA. She hasn't said anything so far and is acting all catatonic, we'll see what happens. In other news Chelsea stole Tash's diary and told everyone about her mum, Waverly was pissed that Nick wasn't throwing her a birthday party so she's having a surprise one, Shannon and Vinnie are avoiding each other, that's it so far as I can remember. Kind of a boring episode (The Layla bit was last night, mostly).

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 20 May 2004 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

GOD tv is good right now, I am SO SO excited about Paradise Hotel on Tuesday too.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 20 May 2004 10:40 (twenty-two years ago)

oh you watch that too? i LKOVE that show

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 21 May 2004 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

YES, it is the greatest show on television at the moment. So who's gonna die on Shortland Street? I think Layla will.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 21 May 2004 11:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure it'll be Chris, why not. Yeah, Paradise Hotel beats pretty much everything.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Saturday, 22 May 2004 02:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I missed Friday's episode - someone's gonna die? My vote is for Tash! Ugh, she's so annoying. I mean, there's that other girl who everyone's supposed to hate, but even she's more likeable than Tash. Donna should adopt the cricket playing girl instead.

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 22 May 2004 03:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Tonight's episode deals w/suicide, kids. And fucking, I guess, they never warn me about that shit

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 06:02 (twenty-two years ago)

OH GOLLY WHO COULD THE NEW BOSS BE

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 06:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I kinda wish they'd skip all this AMUSING CRAP and just have Delphi and that guy fuck

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 06:15 (twenty-two years ago)

The new boss I mean, wouldn't it be cool if it was that guy arguing w/Victor

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 06:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Ooh someone's discovered sarcasm

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 06:21 (twenty-two years ago)

The new guy looks like Geoff.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 24 May 2004 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes!! So much that it was creepy when he first walked in.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 24 May 2004 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I miss Geoff and his latent homosexuality.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 24 May 2004 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I miss Rachel and her impractical interpretation of alcoholism

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

But hey Shannon and Vinnie! Now I'm all sorry for Tama and regretting I was so into this, but I didn't really think it'd happen.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 12:57 (twenty-two years ago)

If the new boss of ED had turned out to be Nelson or someone Sh St'd be beating Paradise Hotel easy

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 24 May 2004 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I was pleased w/ Shannon and Vinnie at first but now it's creeping me out. I'm not sorry for Tama though.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 24 May 2004 22:53 (twenty-two years ago)

It was real gross when he was all sticking that necklace in her mouth, oh how fuckin HOT. Ewww.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 24 May 2004 23:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuckin SEX, eww. So hey Tash might be going! Yay! But Donna might be going too! Not so good!

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 27 May 2004 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I missed it tonight, where are they going? Tash has grown on me a bit recently.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 28 May 2004 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Australia, well Donna is at least briefly, to talk to Tash's mum about not taking her back etc, she should just go to court w/her rich boyf and all

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 May 2004 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Anything else worthwhile happen?

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Um yeah sort of, Sticky suddenly became violently hateful towards Australians and made a couple of jokes about how suckful they are while the new guy was in earshot, nice one Sticky. THEN he tried to suck up to him v v badly and FAILED, it was pretty funny.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

That sounds sad, poor Sticky. He's always fucking up. I don't get why this guy being an Australian is such a big deal, that's NOT REAL LIFE Shortland Street.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 28 May 2004 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Who is the uni girl that Valentine brother guy's in love with??????

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 2 June 2004 13:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it might be DELPHI!

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 2 June 2004 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Tho it'd rule pretty hard if he was into Barb.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 2 June 2004 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought Delphi's reaction when he hassled her about Dom was v. poor, "He killed my brother" in a kind of semi-ANNOYED voice, not v. convincing.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 2 June 2004 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

She wasn't that annoyed last time Dom was around, tho

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 2 June 2004 23:44 (twenty-two years ago)

She wasn't?

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 3 June 2004 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

more about paradise hotel! i'm thinking it was a dumb idea to bring all the old people back cos they were the first people to get voted off again. amy is the biggest whinger known to mankind, she's gotta go next.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 3 June 2004 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Tom actually got some screen-time! W/ CRYING, go Tom. Also it baffles me how much the guests seem unable to work out who's likely to be going - discounting the "twists and turns of Paradise" obv. which are anybody's guess.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 3 June 2004 00:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi it's Andrew, btw. Yeah remember how when they were going to go to Australia together she was sort of um just weird? She was prob meant to be in shock, or something, but she seemed kinda as sad as she did angry, etc. Anyway when are they going to fuck, this is boring.

Andrewandrew, Thursday, 3 June 2004 05:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Always asking the big questions

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 3 June 2004 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Norman is a fuckin GOTH

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

That's harsh Andrew. Poor Norman! I like him, he's friendly.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 12:05 (twenty-two years ago)

What happened btw?

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

He gothed it up w/Li Mei then they hung out at the K Rd cemetery

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Vinnie told Tama he'd just come on to Shannon a couple of timers/got nowhere and flew to Australia, leaving Norman to redecorate EL RANCHO into a nice smart pad for him and LM. The nanny cooked dinner for Chris and they got into a wacky sex position w/him having to undo her dress cos it was stuck (even tho she'd oiled it and stuff) but he turned her kiss down cos she's his son's NANNY. Choice one Chris.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 9 June 2004 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought he'd already moved in! And Nick should fuck Shavaughan if he's so in love w/her, maybe he can drive Waverley to suicide!

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 10 June 2004 06:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I've just kinda had it w/her, sorry. She's almost putting me off the show even, I get pissed off every time she does that horrible "oooooh I don't know about all this!" face which she seems to do at least once every episode now

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 10 June 2004 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

"Oooooh I'm leaving work! Oooooooooh I'm about to give birth! OOOOOOOOH Nick's hot"

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 10 June 2004 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw poor nanny. Chris you're so fickle! Also the whole Nick/Avril thing is retarded.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 11:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Unless they start FUCKING. Btw that whole Li Mei/Norman thing was rather excessive for 7pm, I think, yes

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 June 2004 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought so too! I knew I was missing a crucial storyline. Who's excited about PARADISE HOTEL tomorrow?

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I found Chris' reaction to Nick's stationary mystery amusing btw, I feel that should be noted.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

He just shouldn't try to be funny frankly

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 June 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I missed most of tonight's episode - why was Li Mei in the hospital?

Minty (Minty), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

It WAS funny though! "Maybe someone who bears a grudge..."

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Li Mei was in hospital cause her and Norman got EXCITING with blindfolds and food and he fed her an oyster and surprise surprise she's allergic.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

She had an erotic food incident w/Norman, she's allergic to oysters and he was feeding her blindfolded etc etc, argh

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Mindmeld!

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Woohah luckily I have you all more or less in check

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Awww, she looked pretty normal when I saw her! I guess maybe Shortland St doesn't have the special effects resources to have her face swell up like a balloon.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Anyway, being blindfolded and having an oyster stuck in your piehole? How disgusting would that be? "Hmmm... cold, salty, slimy... ok mister, this is either an oyster or a spoonful of refrigerated semen, and I have strong objections to both."

Minty (Minty), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I never realised why oysters were meant to be such an aphrodisiac before

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:33 (twenty-two years ago)

We saw Li Mei in her BRA though.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh man! That's what I get for walking home instead of talking the bus. For a mere $1.10, I too could have basked in the light of Li Mei's underwear.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 14 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Bra in capitals makes it seem like an acronym, which is an unpleasant idea.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 14 June 2004 20:36 (twenty-two years ago)

it stands for Big Rack Ahoy!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 14 June 2004 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

and my entire flat is excited about the final of paradise hotel tonight. TWO HOUR SPECIAL. god i hope keith and tara win. don't you love how keith's eyes are so close together?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 14 June 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

No no Holly and Scott! Li Mei doesn't have a big rack though.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 00:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't mind if holly and scott win i guess, as long as DAVE doesn't. he's such a whinger and i wish he'd stop trying to get charla to pityfuck him.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 00:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I hate Dave too. Hey Di who do you think is the hottest on Paradise Hotel?

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 02:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't post who wins! I'm not watching til tomorrow.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 15 June 2004 09:30 (twenty-two years ago)

oh my god having to choose the hottest people on paradise is hard cos they're none of them my type. i guess i'd choose keith and tara by default. shit i find paris hilton attractive at the moment, don't ask me!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha Paris Hilton is repulsive. I choose ZACK ZACK ZACK all the way, and Charla cause at certain moments she looks a little like me.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 01:38 (twenty-two years ago)

zack is a total dickhead, it makes him unattractive to me.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 02:45 (twenty-two years ago)

andon was the most dickheadish and therefore unattractive. it makes me wet when toni barks "game on!"

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 02:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I love how much of a dickhead Zack is! I'm just a sucker for men who rant insanely and nonsensically, it seems. I find Toni to be the least attractive of all PH guests; I think we have entirely different tastes Di.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 04:52 (twenty-two years ago)

EWW I hate Toni SO MUCH! BTW I have seen the final now, and I'm so not surprised Charla didn't give Dave the money, it was so funny. Like Keith was all happy to be sharing his money with Tara and Charla was all "this is the hardest decision I've ever had to make".
Also, what will the twist be for next season?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 11:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicole is so much hotter than Paris. Does anyone else watch Newlyweds? It's pretty funny.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 11:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha I love how Nick seems to really HATE Jessica, like he doesn't like her AT ALL. I thought Keith and Tara were so cute, I was thinking that all through the episode and then they had to split the money and I was like "Oh no maybe they're only playing the game" but they really LIKED each other, how lovely. Zack looked hot.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and I wanted to know who everyone voted for! At least if ANYONE voted for Tara and Dave.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Amy probably did

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Keith doing his masculine crying was a good move (tho maybe it was genuine, tho given how stupid they all are I dunno if he'd even know if he was genuinely that workedup), people (esp CHICKS prob) are sometimes vulnerable to that I think, also Zack was wiping tears from his eyes! Aww! And he hates him! Brotherhood, man!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Amy didn't, did you see the expression on her face in Keith's speech versus the one in Dave's?

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah and she (Nicole)'s black and Paris is real white. The photo of them as kids dressed up as maids was disturbing, in the reunion show, I just couldn't stand to watch any more making fun of hicks and licking rich obnoxious peoples bums

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 16 June 2004 22:55 (twenty-two years ago)

theres a void in my life now that paradise hotel has finished. i'm filling this void with america's next top model, though it isn't nearly as good. does anyone else watch it?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 20 June 2004 08:10 (twenty-two years ago)

i was addicted to the first season of top model.. this years ok, but the models aren't as endearing as addrienne and the indie chick from last year..

chris andrews (fraew), Sunday, 20 June 2004 08:48 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't find any of them endearing, but thats not why i watch it.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 20 June 2004 09:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I love that show. I missed it yesterday, who left?

Livvie (Livvie), Sunday, 20 June 2004 09:42 (twenty-two years ago)

i forget her name. the "short" one. catie cried. one of them had to model as GRACE JONES, which was pretty cool. not as cool as the dragtastic diana ross impersonation.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 20 June 2004 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw about 20 mins of it and it was HILARIOUS.
For example when one of them - maybe the one called Mercedes or the one with Lupus had to model as Billie Holiday and said something like "I just didn't know if I could capture Billie Holiday's true spirit" or something like that.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Sunday, 20 June 2004 11:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe I missed that one! I'm v. sad.

Livvie (Livvie), Sunday, 20 June 2004 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

she looked pretty good as billie though, despite the fact that billie was a musician, not a model.. and a heroin addict to boot..

chris andrews (fraew), Monday, 21 June 2004 01:03 (twenty-one years ago)

When I read that last post on this thread without reading any of the other ones above it I thought Chris meant Billie Piper and it was quite funny!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 21 June 2004 01:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Wonder if Waverley gets stuck in that lift

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 21 June 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha I thought Billie Piper too!

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 21 June 2004 09:54 (twenty-one years ago)

erm me too even though I originally brought up the billie holiday thing.
she has so much power over us! we're like bees to the honey

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 21 June 2004 23:10 (twenty-one years ago)

except that billie piper is not very honey-ish

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 21 June 2004 23:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i like billie piper's song "something deep inside"! in the video shes at the laundromat getting herself off by sitting on the washing machine while its going.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 00:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i hope that has nothing to do with the hi-tone destroyers take on 'deep inside'...

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 01:00 (twenty-one years ago)

FUCKIN A IT'S THE DOMINATOR

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 11:54 (twenty-one years ago)

They so, so needed something like this to happen. I don't CARE what Chris does w/his dick, I don't much care about Waverley's not v interesting birth (I hope they don't kill another baby tho). I want VILLAINY. Me and E predicted this! Only um in the last few seconds before Chris opened the door, but still.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 11:56 (twenty-one years ago)

*phew* your not talking about ME..

chris andrews (fraew), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 19:34 (twenty-one years ago)

BEST RETURN EVER.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

It was so amazing!!!!!!! I thought Dom was due for a return when Delphi's mum turned up and said how the Dad watched the news all day cos he wanted to find out who killed Geoff, but stupidly I didn't guess Dom would be the big one to return, not til the last second anyway. I was like guessing Dr Ropata and stuff! Seriously! Like he'd be the new GM or something.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 24 June 2004 00:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha look at us and our gmail addresses

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 24 June 2004 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

How do Tama's horrible wussy r'n'b ballads qualify as hiphop? Dom's return continues to rule.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 24 June 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah i'm glad he hasn't forgotten how to do his trademark evil smirk.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 24 June 2004 06:56 (twenty-one years ago)

YAY DOM! I still maintain that is Chris had just gone out with Delphi none of this would've happened.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 24 June 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

like omg girl on girl action!!!!!1 whatever will victor think?

shannon te ngaru, Tuesday, 29 June 2004 00:38 (twenty-one years ago)

"omg girl on girl action!!!!!" hopefully

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 03:09 (twenty-one years ago)

yes i hope so too. he might install webcams for security all around the house like on this infomercial i saw this morning where a lady keeps her digital camera in her bikini

shannon te ngaru, Tuesday, 29 June 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Must be a big bikini

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 04:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey Victor's homophobic now, how awkward! Just as his lesbo daughter turns up!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I love a good suprise Te Hana visit.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 06:48 (twenty-one years ago)

hey wasn't victor always homophobic? like when geoff came out?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 07:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah but he HATED Geoff, hopefully he likes his daughter

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 07:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't it funny how Toni/Donna semi-echoed our "Those aren't real lesbians!" sentiment?

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 11:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah! Except I've never seen anyone wearing overalls except Lou Barlow and this girl from the US

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

These magazines my mum used to get had order forms for badges that said "a woman needs a man.." etc, and there was this one that was like "They sent one man to the moon... why not send them all!"

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 11:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I want one of them! I'd LOVE to go to the moon!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 12:22 (twenty-one years ago)

I meant it's not like he sits around complaining about homos and being Mr Traditional Values, y'know? Hassling Geoff about it made sense what w/his loathing of him and his patientkilling ways. But for the always really funny (honestly, tho I prob sound sarcastic) purposes of Sh St plotting I'm sure he'll now be very homophobic. It also seemed pretty silly they'd be worried about telling young funky types like Toni or Vinnie or whoever, esp when Vinnie was doing his obligatory "oh my God a WOMAN, better try and fuck her" routine

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 13:55 (twenty-one years ago)

isn't it funny how shortland street's maori lezzo looks quite a bit like anika moa?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 20:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that the one who looks like Vinnie's new girlf too?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Cos the other one I don't really notice cos she's the most awful actor they've gotten yet but now I've thought for a SECOND she must me the Maori cos she's Victor's daughter, right? Ever since Donna I haven't really relied on whether they actually LOOK Maori

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 00:54 (twenty-one years ago)

What's Shannon's problem with Te Hana?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:15 (twenty-one years ago)

She makes her feel guilty? That's Shannon's problem w/ everyone it seems, we all know that people who have affairs are consumed w/ GUILT 24/7.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh man I'm gonna miss this thread when it's gone for two weeks.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 2 July 2004 00:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Me too

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 2 July 2004 01:26 (twenty-one years ago)

That was surprisingly rude of Victor!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 2 July 2004 06:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Those are both horrible names!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 2 July 2004 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

"you turned him gay" & "i always knew there was something wrong with him"!! victor doesn't disappoint!

etc, Friday, 2 July 2004 06:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Neither does expeditious Shortland Street characterisation! "Did you turn him gay" or whatever was pretty funny, tho.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

three weeks pass...
Seeya Donna. Was that that girl Tama made out w/ages ago? That Victor caught him w/at one of his stupid gigs?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 23 July 2004 06:35 (twenty-one years ago)

i think it sucks donna has left. apparently steph tauevihi is in rehab for speed.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 24 July 2004 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Why is Maia such a fuckin pussy? "She makes it really hard to care for her" so DON'T then, like Li Mei gives a shit anyway

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 30 July 2004 06:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Yay Tama's little dreamworld continues to crumble! Hmm a girl's gonna get attacked, please please please let it be Waverley (it'll prob be someone I like, tho)

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 30 July 2004 06:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha "Pink Frost"! Yay for Vinnie shutting Delphi up!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 August 2004 06:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh it's Amstrad or whatever

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 August 2004 06:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, look at that. Will Jay actually go? She IS a suspiciously awful actress, I guess.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 2 August 2004 07:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Seems she's gone, I'll miss all that whinging and making out

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 00:50 (twenty-one years ago)

hey can yous keep me informed please? i can't see it this week.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 06:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Well Dom strutted around whistling cos he was so pleased w/killing Avril, but her tough westie brother turned up and found out from Te Hana how A/D'd had a date that night and threatened etc him, that was the climax. Some good lines, like "mum'll kill her when she finds out she's gone to Fiji etc" "she'll have to get in line, I'm annoyed too" from Dom, haha. Jake's netball went Ok, he got into it, scored some goals, Craig got into supporting him too. It was cute. Chris made jokes. Delphi's being NICE to Dom, I think she might be going to fool him into telling her stuff. I hope so, that or she goes EVIL too and marries him. Shannon wanted a cuddle cos Delphi was mean to her but Vinnie was too busy going drinking w/his friend "B" or "P" or something. Jay's gone, properly. And Maia realistically enough has no idea whether they're taking it longdistance, Anthel (?) asked while serving at the bar (he works there now) and coming on to her. He also hassled Nick for being pussywhipped a lot. Nick got ANGRY. Waverley did a bunch of stupid crap cos she's stupid. Nick made fun of her (talked into a banana: "Hello, this is Waverley speaking!" ooh mean Nick). Victor's case is about the same. Other things, prob! Don't remember.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 12:38 (twenty-one years ago)

cheers. as much as maia and jay were annoying, i'm so sick of how shortland street's gay relationships are over as soon as they begin. would it be so difficult for them to have a happy gay couple for more than two weeks?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 22:04 (twenty-one years ago)

They like secure happy couples W/KIDS, tho. I don't expect much from a soap opera, I guess. Also J/M got more onscreen makeout time than nearly any couple I can think of, that's SOMETHING, right?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 6 August 2004 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Thurs/tonight, um. Chris enjoyed seeing the tough brother threaten Dom, told him he should clean up the broken wine bottle he dropped when the guy grabbed him. Also hassled Li Mei for not giving Victor an alibi, Chris is RULING right now. Jake's still trying to get into that PE teacher, staged one of his sad little protests about getting kicked off the netball team and got himself/Ms PE in trouble w/that creepy principal. Sticky's gotten into ONLINE RELATIONSHIPS thanks to that weird guy that helps Shannon w/everything's advice, his (v. quick) internet buddy turned up at his house tonight! W/her son! And stayed for dinner! At Sticky's invitation, thankfully. Um. Victor found a letter from Rex saying "I'd lie for you Anne if you wanna divorce Victor, no probs" and he thought it'd help, but NO it's inadmissable. So next week is "Shortland St: The Trial", ooh. All week. I saw "Jake" in town on Thurs, I guess that doesn't count as Sh St news. Shannon's moping still, I think, they'll get her/Tama back together prob. Oh there's a not v. interesting subplot about Li Mei having to deal w/an illegal Chinese immigrant, woohoo. MUST be more stuff! Oh yeah! Te Hana's looking into Avril's disappearance (Dom came up w/a fake email/pic scenario to satisfy tough brother, how he intends to keep that up I dunno obv), and maybe he'll GET HER. Delphi continues to be Tama's superduper best mate. There's surely still more, but I don't remember (I got really stoned Thurs night, I kinda forgot stuff maybe)

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 6 August 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Go out w/her you bald dumbass

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 9 August 2004 06:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Maia; she loves everything. These plots are weird, like why wouldn't Craig go for that drink? Just to drag out the him/Jake over Ms Lockhart thing, I guess.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 9 August 2004 06:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Tama couldn't lead his way out of a paper bag

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 9 August 2004 06:39 (twenty-one years ago)

he can sure beat the shit out of stuff tho.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 14 August 2004 01:52 (twenty-one years ago)

what happened last night?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Chris got fired and then he was all like, "haha Dominic, i'll just come back as a SURGEON in the motherfuckin' PLASTICS UNIT" and dominic ate some dinner and looked pissed.

rainy (rainy), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 06:15 (twenty-one years ago)

hi rainy!!!! was that what happened tonight as well?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 18 August 2004 07:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh no now Dom wants to kill Chris!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 20 August 2004 06:29 (twenty-one years ago)

i think he'll try to kill lucy. next week looks sooooooooo exciting.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 20 August 2004 22:19 (twenty-one years ago)

AWWWW only 30 mins.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 23 August 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah that was real disappointing, i missed most of it thinking i could catch the last 30 minutes...

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 01:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Li Mei's all cool w/the wedding now cos of the money, she so rules

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 30 August 2004 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Shit, near naked Delphi

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope you taped it

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you think he'll KILL her?!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope not!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 07:44 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the best thing to happen on Sh St for MONTHS.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

They fucked all over the house!

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope that Delphi becomes SO BESOTTED with Dom that she finds out he killed Geoff but she like DOESN'T CARE and then they both kill Te Hana or something, oh god it would be so romantic.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 11:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I bet that's exactly what's gonna happen

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't believe I missed all of this!

rainy (rainy), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 22:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh my god I hope that's what happens too. They could go on a killing spree at Shortland St, maybe plant a bomb, or start a gas leak.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 00:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha yeah it'd be like Heathers! I'm so on Dom's side now (except that if he like TRIUMPHED it'd be the end of Shortland Street, really, it pretty much can't work on that kind of morality.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 11:14 (twenty-one years ago)

so what do you thinks up with the new CEO going round to dom's place? a bit sus, maybe?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 2 September 2004 02:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Nah that wasn't surprising because the CEO told Dom he was looking for an apartment so Dom produced the card for his apartments and told him to check it out. It's obv. just another clunky Sh St plot device so Dom can get in trouble about Delphi's age.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 2 September 2004 02:45 (twenty-one years ago)

It's totally Avril's identical twin, she was listed in the credits today as "Bernadette Lucich".

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 2 September 2004 09:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I was wishing I'd checked the credits last night. Shortland St is so stupid! They could've easily just left her out of the credits til tomorrow.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 2 September 2004 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha I had it on video so I rewound. Yeah Sh St is dumb! Though maybe they figure no one is that obsessed, oh well.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 3 September 2004 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish Sh St was on from Sunday to Thursday, it makes much more sense. Far more people are home on Sunday night desperate for something to watch on TV than are on Friday nights. :-(

rainy (rainy), Sunday, 5 September 2004 02:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish it was on EVERY night. Tonight's climax was crappy, who cares Avril has a twin, I hope Dom kills her too

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 September 2004 10:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I am going to be SO UPSET when Delphi and Dom break up.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Gee why's that

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:39 (twenty-one years ago)

CAUSE THEY ARE HOT AND TOGETHER THEY COULD RULE SH ST THROUGH FEAR

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

And y'know, they're more interesting than Nick and Waverly.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Good answer, that'd be cool/who isn't

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Sarah the oft-mentioned extra?

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Dr Marshall?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Remember Doctor Ho? He was attractive.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually I think these people are ALL more interesting than Nick and Wave and their stupid boat.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 11:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Nick's potsmoking ways, tho.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 September 2004 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I knew you'd mention that, somehow.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 6 September 2004 12:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel sorry for Nick and Waverley's baby, it's going to have such a boring childhood.

rainy (rainy), Monday, 6 September 2004 21:32 (twenty-one years ago)

apparently rubicon is gonna reform in LA as a session muso band..

chris andrews (fraew), Monday, 6 September 2004 21:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow are they really that good? I had no idea.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Btw Elisabeth and I saw both Rex (on Ponsonby Rd) and Judy (in St Kevin's Arcade, didn't come into the shop sadly even tho we were playing Wire) on Sunday

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 06:30 (twenty-one years ago)

nah i mean as in paul reid is gonna hire some session hacks to fill out the lineup..

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 09:04 (twenty-one years ago)

did any of you dudes ever see the urinators, back in the day?

[that was nick h*rte and paul's high school band..]

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 09:07 (twenty-one years ago)

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 21:56 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah they were pretty awful... funny thing is, nick still proudly defends the bands output ('i wrote all the songs!' he'll state if you ever call them paul's band..)

and now we have paul reid the LA session sleaze.. kinda appropriate i guess, the guy was always a bit of a dick in high school

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 7 September 2004 22:11 (twenty-one years ago)

So what do you all reckon? Is Delphi dead, unconcious or has she just gone back to Cambridge?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Sunday, 12 September 2004 08:46 (twenty-one years ago)

whoa, fuck! i must have missed something MAJOR on friday, please fill me in!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 12 September 2004 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok so Te Hana and Bernadette showed Delphi the brochure they found in Dom's desk which has the background of the picture of Avril on a boat. Delphi went back to Dom's and told him bla bla bla how she couldn't trust him and went off at him while he went SHUT UP SHUT UP and then when she tried to leave he blocked off the door. She probably shouldn't have gone to his house if she thought he was dangerous. So yeah next week is titled "the Disappearence" and shows Dom going on to Toni about how Delphi's gone and won't say where. Eek!!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Sunday, 12 September 2004 22:32 (twenty-one years ago)

andrew and livvie are right, dom and delphi should have gone on a murdering spree together, but that would never happen because they have made delphi's character so DUMB. like she used to be a cool staunch tomboy and now she is all weak and pathetic.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 12 September 2004 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

She played rugby tho. Anyway turns out she was OUTSIDE!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

He raped her, I bet.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

And my prediction, Danny's Dr Potts's son, she had him at 13 or something. Pretty scary. I wanted her to reveal a second head or something

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 20 September 2004 06:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Maia should really be a bit more pleased at the prospect of a Playboy mansion themed party w/"bulging cleavage" etc, Sh St

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 20 September 2004 06:29 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend Alex was taught 3rd form Social Science by Dr Sarah Potts! Apparently she was then really, really fat. But then she left St Margarets to lose some weight/pursue an acting career and became the hot new Sh St doctor.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 11:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that like Social Studies? That's what it was called back in my day. Hey where are Te Hana and Tama meant to be living at the moment, anyway?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 21 September 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

"Sure thing hot stuff"

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 06:07 (twenty-one years ago)

"Pretty young secretary" wow how drunk was he?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 06:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Why does Te Hana think she's in charge of everyone?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I want Judy back!

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 24 September 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't understand what Bernadette had to gain from getting Dom sacked. I thought she wanted to keep an eye on him!

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 24 September 2004 11:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Time for my list of characters who're suspiciously away from the clinic just as the finale and presumably Dom's evil end're coming up- Judy, Waverley, Nick, Lucas, Sticky (all made to take leave by the I suspect v expendable Andrew), Toni (and Harry, dumped w/Donna in Aust), Chris (off in Fiji being heroes), Delphi (in Aust, left V quickly). Victor MIGHT be back soon. Oh and Barb, she's meant to be back tomorrow tho, we'll see.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 11:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Also Jim can die, who cares about him, he's a creep. You see I'm really hoping there'll be a massive disaster and some people'll die (Andrew Jim Bernadette for a start), and they've got most of the wellloved characters out of harm's way before it happens. Bet I'm wrong tho.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 11:54 (twenty-one years ago)

My theory means nothing if the finale's further off than a few weeks, of course. Anyone know when it is?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 24 September 2004 11:57 (twenty-one years ago)

what did i miss?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 24 September 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Not much, Di. My favourite characters are all away which sucks (Chris/Judy etc). Dr Sarah Potts had turned out to be boring and predictable despite being attractive, Altham and new cousin chick are also boring despite being into pot. Andrew the CEO just goes around being pissy. He and Sarah are NOT going to fuck despite what Sh St would like us to think. Bernadette and Dom continue their pretty much constant threatening of each other. Tama wants Shannon and she wants him, who knew? I SERIOUSLY can't think of anything that's actually HAPPENING atm, though I'm looking forward to Toni and Chris action in Fiji.

Livvie (Livvie), Saturday, 25 September 2004 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

thanks livvie. you're right, nothings changed since i last saw it!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 26 September 2004 00:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha Norman's stupid

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 4 October 2004 05:30 (twenty-one years ago)

It's obvious Li-Ming doesn't know mandarin. I'm betting (more) maximum cringe with these scenes (her Chinese mum, and chinese boy she's meant to marry) showing up. I bet her mum'll end up all sweet.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 4 October 2004 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I think they played some kind of vaguely Chinese sounding music when they showed up, just before they went to ad break. Or was that just the usual ominous music they always seem to have these days?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 4 October 2004 11:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Norman is an idiot, first the drunk-driving and now this.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 4 October 2004 12:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I like the ominous Maori pipemusic they play when Te Hana's being tough

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 4 October 2004 12:11 (twenty-one years ago)

hahahahaha

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 4 October 2004 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Told you Lauren'd get w/Maia!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 8 October 2004 05:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yr right! This'll be exciting.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 8 October 2004 06:21 (twenty-one years ago)

No it won't

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 8 October 2004 08:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I STILL think it's stupid that Maia always goes for short and annoying girls. I kinda wanted Lauren to turn out to be a lesbian-hating psychopath, but no she's just CONFUSED.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 8 October 2004 12:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I guess Sh St wants dyke characters to be all selfloathing and shit at like 27 or whatever Lauren is, sure Sh St!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 8 October 2004 12:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha we're always saying that. "Sure Sh St, WHATEVER."

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 8 October 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Do they have bi or just comfortably queer/ not straight characters any more or is it all a big "oh am I/is she gay?" drama still? Sorry I didn't express that very well.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 8 October 2004 20:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Pfft I'll take Judy over this unamusing Lauren person any day

Lesbian for Life (Andrew Thames), Monday, 11 October 2004 05:14 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah judy rules. shannon telling tama where to go tonight was spectacular!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 11 October 2004 07:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Ok after today I hate Lauren so much. STOP HASSLING JUDY YOU BITCH. Did SHE go to Wire? I don't think so.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Shannon telling Tama where to go will be boringly short-lived.

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

two weeks pass...
Correct. Te Hana told Shannon to fuck off, tho. Meanwhile "go into my car and get my FLYING NUN Cd", wonder which one?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 05:12 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe it was the soundtrack to the tv series 'flying nun'?

seems kinda stoopid to point out an albums record label rather than the artists though.. i GUESS they could have been referring to a label sampler / compilation though..

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 07:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I figured it was a compilation

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Me too. Nick is fat when he's not wearing a suit.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:13 (twenty-one years ago)

There aren't any

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

At least none that'd be receiving any promotion from that nonspecific mention and I kinda doubt it was just casually dropped in there

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:21 (twenty-one years ago)

What do I know maybe there's a new one out called "Flying Nun 50 Years of Flying Nun" or something

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:22 (twenty-one years ago)

There's the "Topless Women..." sndtrk but he'd have said, I think/HOPE HOPE HOPE it was just Sh St being terribly lazy

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:24 (twenty-one years ago)

And funy, btw, it's not like I'm all upset about poor old FN getting a crappy mention and losing 5s of sales cos Chris didn't mention a title

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 10:28 (twenty-one years ago)

OBV he meant the new one. You're more out of touch than me!

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 11:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Neither of us hold FN in particularly high regard though, I guess.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 11:12 (twenty-one years ago)

"New"? That one came out in 2002!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

icy blend: I bet he meant the one he'd BURNT
icy blend: w/all his fav nun hits
livvie tapper: bet he DIDN'T
icy blend: he shouldn'tve
livvie tapper: no, FN mostly sucks
livvie tapper: his comp would have like 3 songs

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Ooooh!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 11:40 (twenty-one years ago)

i miss you shorters.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha anyone notice that Elthum, Tina and Lucas are all about to perish horribly in the firey destruction of the Dogs, yet our Sh St thread revolves around Chris' Flying Nun selection and Nick's weight?

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 21:43 (twenty-one years ago)

...im gonna go away and listen to my scorched earth policy eps..

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 22:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I love it how Chris was sposed to have got into FN when he was a med student in Dunedin. Med students NEVER go out!

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 22:08 (twenty-one years ago)

My DAD was a med student in Dunedin, and I'm pretty sure his knowledge of Flying Nun is limited to the one Netherworld Dancing Toys LP he owns.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 26 October 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

rik starrr 4-eva!

chris andrews (fraew), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 01:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah that's a good record I guess

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 01:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Chris especially loves the Verlaines; he wasn't at the Clean concert in Auckland though! tha "dorky" character of the time was though.
Remember when Flying nun had the deal and their music was always playing on Sh Street

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 08:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Now all they have is the Hallensteins ads.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Models are uglier than that

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 28 October 2004 05:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I know all about models now cos I looked at Karen Walker's website, you see. Also -----[that was nick h*rte and paul's high school band..] um I never noticed that first name before, hmm.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 28 October 2004 05:04 (twenty-one years ago)

"We're all on yr side" who was that random porter? Who did he mean were on Jim's side? Him and the trolley? Oh and shit hot new Dr asked Chris to go to FLESH w/him hahahahahahahhahahahaha god I WISH. Also punching Jim was cool, Sticky!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 28 October 2004 05:30 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.streettalk.co.nz/

Minty (Minty), Thursday, 28 October 2004 05:56 (twenty-one years ago)

whats happening??

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 2 November 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm kirstyknight on the street talk boards! I've only posted once though to say which characters I find attractive. Di they do a daily what happened thing and it's really good on that site!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Toni and Chris broke up, Shannon and Tama are back together but Tama's gone up north for a while and we'll find out if they'll be engaged again when he gets back. Barb went to the police and at first Tama and Shannon let him stay because Shannon was like "innocent to proven guilty and Jim's a really nice guy" but then she saw Barb crying in her car and told Jim he should maybe find another job and he went kinda psycho and that was the cliffhanger. Oh yeah and the Dogs burnt down because Waverly left the iron on but there'll all ok and staying with the Valentine's. Jake burnt his hand letting off a firework. Lucas wants to go home. Sob sob sob. He also wants some toy called "Mr Binkle" I think.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 02:52 (twenty-one years ago)

For some reason I just laughed a lot cause you chose to include Mr Binkle in that synopsis.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

thank you E! god i miss that show.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 05:11 (twenty-one years ago)

what happened last night?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 6 November 2004 03:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I just started watching this again, thanks to lousy tv3 starting the Simpsons repeats all over again from lousy season 1.
On the plus side, Dom's guilty Pink Frost dream made me laugh so hard I just about keeled over.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 08:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Exact same here!
Man is Sh Street always this good? Sleeptalking "pink frost"! how classic can you get??????

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG really?!? I hope somebody taped it!

etc, Wednesday, 10 November 2004 11:54 (twenty-one years ago)

You know who else likes Flying Nun? CHRIS. Maybe they ARE brothers.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

OH MAN I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THAT.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

And Norman's bar is named after Coltrane...he had this conversation with someone who thought it was Robbie Coltrane rather than John.

Have they done Toni/Dom action yet? That's what I'm hanging out for.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 10 November 2004 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

norman has a bar now?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 11 November 2004 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

i can't believe i missed the pink frost dream. i did suddenly remember watching an episode many years ago, i think it was back when nick was a spotty teenager, where some people were discussing how breast secreting cake is a terrible name for a band.

possibly marj. i hope so.

alex (alex), Thursday, 11 November 2004 01:36 (twenty-one years ago)

there was a really great interview with (the actor who plays) norman in the herald on wednesday!

etc, Thursday, 11 November 2004 09:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey good point Andrew!!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Thursday, 11 November 2004 09:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know how good a choice that band was, tho I did kinda like how they sang about pie and a bird

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 11 November 2004 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

god we don't even have pecan pie here! I mean as a normal thing.
They were so awful. Please say they're not real.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 12 November 2004 05:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently they have been on Good Morning although I am not sure if that makes them any realer. I like how Sticky liked them!

This thread needs more Lucas.

Avril Lavignstein, Saturday, 13 November 2004 03:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you know Lucas has ADD and being on Shortland St is a good way to help him learn to behave or think about what he does or something?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Saturday, 13 November 2004 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

It's nice how Dom's descent into evil is accompanied by his removal from society's NICE BITS and now he's no better than a filthy homeless beggar and aren't THEY disgusting, it's just what he deserves, now he's just one of those crazy homeless creeps yelling at passersby.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 25 November 2004 07:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I put that very very well. I am eloquent almost to a fault. It pissed me off, tho.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 25 November 2004 07:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm a LIBERAL!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 25 November 2004 07:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I know what you mean.

I worked "under" someone today who looked like Judy. I couldn't get over feeling all funny about that for some reason. Probably that I think Judy's attractive. A gay-acting straight? as opposed to their endless straight-acting lezs?
The archetypes of SH St:
the baddest baddy
kind of stupid harmless gits (Nick, Waverley, long line of pre Waverlys)
butch or butch lite straight women
awkward geeky med professional
?
?
?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I mean Judy's not gay acting exactly but she's kind of staunch and they have her in James Dean getup and so on

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:33 (twenty-one years ago)

anyway Toni's my favourite, who is everyone elses?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I think Toni is my favourite though I have been known to vocally disparage her hair in some of it's many various styles. I watched an old episode of ShSt this morning, it was one of the time when Toni was in debt and poor and started shoplifting and whatshisname Barb's oldest son? Well he was being a total jerk about it... poor Toni.

Naturally ShSt will never be the same without Rachel McKenna, particularly DRUNK Rachel.

rainy (rainy), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

The pretty lesbian nurse is not a good crier, which was making me hate her in the last few episodes I saw.

rainy (rainy), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:55 (twenty-one years ago)

and I didn't like the way her friends came to dinner and one wore a hat the whole time. Who wears a flowery-decorated hat while eating?

rainy (rainy), Friday, 26 November 2004 00:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes what happened to man lesbian and clown lesbian

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG!! other people like toni! i get hassled for liking toni because she looks weird. but thats part of why i like her. also i think she is a reasonably strong character unlike most other female characters on sh st. this is also why i like judy. god why do i express everything so boringly?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 26 November 2004 05:55 (twenty-one years ago)

no you don't. I agree.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 26 November 2004 10:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I was kinda serious about the dykes, have I missed something or did they just get overwritten by Maia's family tragedy? For a little bit it looked ALMOST as if Maia might even get some action.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 10:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Christmas day special coming up, wonder what'll be on that? Having yr wedding on the 25th is a pretty stupid idea, I'd have thought. Why bother making yr own specialwecial day to celebrate yr LOVE when you can do it on a day that's ALREADY

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 11:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha. The tab key is odd. "special to everyone cos you pretty much def at least get a day off" etc, y'know, tho yeah reallife people don't get to have their weddings chronicled by Xmas day specials either

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 11:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I would be pissed at having to go to a WEDDING on Xmas day. Maybe that's what Te Hana's really annoyed about.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:23 (twenty-one years ago)

It'll be at their palatial mansion anyway

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Also isn't it weird that everyone is so convinced Dom is faking it (and he prob. is, go Sh St) but he's managed to keep his eyes open the ENTIRE TIME? Isn't that kind of impossible?

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:29 (twenty-one years ago)

He only has to do it when various retards are looking, bet I could fool them too. Don't say his seedy charms are fooling you too

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think you could, hon. I'm pretty sure Toni had her eyes on him for more than like 2 mins and that's maybe the max he could not blink for.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:42 (twenty-one years ago)

No you get to a point where it stops hurting, it's hard but doable

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 12:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you try?

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Couple times

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

That's brave.

Livvie (Livvie), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Whatever

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 26 November 2004 13:43 (twenty-one years ago)

why don't you get a part on Shortland Street Andrew? I think you should.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Saturday, 27 November 2004 00:39 (twenty-one years ago)

hell yeah

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Saturday, 27 November 2004 01:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Too ugly

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Saturday, 27 November 2004 02:07 (twenty-one years ago)

For fuck's sake, Dom dumped the body in Lake Pupuke! That thing's like 200 metres across! Or maybe more, I guess. Not much. Congratulations Maia.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 29 November 2004 06:55 (twenty-one years ago)

And he must've dumped it pretty close to the shore! I mean if it was weighted down it wouldn't have drifted.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 29 November 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Haven't we established previously that Dom's schemes aren't usually, y'know, very GOOD?

Livvie (Livvie), Monday, 29 November 2004 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

At least he didn't just leave her in his backyard or something

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 29 November 2004 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Does he even have a backyard? He could have left her on the balcony, I guess.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Or on the sofa in front of the Tv in a lifelike position

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 11:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I wish when they discovered the body it'd been the corpse of THE REAL WAVERLEY and that's why she was so horrified and she had to escape and so on, what actually happened was fine tho obv

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 11:07 (twenty-one years ago)

how come Waverley was so freaked? I saw her at the end of the episode where they found it but missed the start of the next one and couldn' quite understand if it was just that she recognised who it was or if there was more to it.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 11:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it's just that she's quite wussy. Nick's frustration w/her tonight was cool.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 11:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Well to be fair on poor annoying Waverley it WAS a rotting corpse, I guess, tho did she actually look much?

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 30 November 2004 11:51 (twenty-one years ago)

That was cool. I bet secretly he wishes Eltham was still there so he could smoke pot on the boat again.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Where did Eltham GO? I realised yesterday he'd disappeared.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 02:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yeah after the fire at the Dogs and all his drug trouble he decided to go back home to the country,

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 03:06 (twenty-one years ago)

To grow more drugs, I hope.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 03:39 (twenty-one years ago)

WHO WILL SURVIVE?? i sure came back at the right time, shorters is exploding with awesomeness.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 1 December 2004 22:20 (twenty-one years ago)

but what if they kill off Toni? Noo!

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 2 December 2004 04:06 (twenty-one years ago)

they better not.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 2 December 2004 05:31 (twenty-one years ago)
