I am surrounded by halloween candy as I am presently assembling Trick Or Treat bags for the children around the village who will come trampling through my garden demanding sweeties with menaces on Thursday night.

I have a wonderful selection : little chocolate balls covered in orange foil (supposed to look like pumpkins), jelly sweets in the shape of body parts, lollipops which resemble bloodshot eyeballs, boiled sweets which turn your mouth black when you suck them, and chocolate spiders.

I'm putting these in cellophane bags and typing them with orange and black ribbon. I'm no fool. I know that if the Trick Or Treat bags aren't good enough, the kids will pelt my car with eggs.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 13:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh no! My manager has just given me a Galaxy Ripple! Must eat at some point this afternoon to be polite... I am going to explode!

I bought 3 bags of Halloween candy last night to give out. They are all Hershey's brand (kisses, peppermint patties & assorted mini-candy bars - all wrapped in shiny autumn colors). If the kids are allergic to chocolate, I'll just have to eat it myself!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 October 2002 14:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I got some tonight after mini-ghouls turned up at the door and I went through the whole house trying to find something to give them. (They ended up with my housemate's cookies). I have now replaced the cookies and put an assortment of mini-chocolate/ gelatine things by the door. I am upstairs working, but I keep making trips downstairs to scoff the sweets by the door. By tomorrow the rest of the mini-ghouls will have nothing to eat.

(You are organised CJ)

Last year a friend of my mum's gave us 2 boxes of M&Ms. Each had about 40 packs in it. I hate M&Ms now.

I have a lolly pop of an eye ball, yay! I'm such a Halloween Scrooge, I don't deserve it, but I shall enjoy eating it nonetheless.
