Oh, if we're talking aesthetically displeasing, add glazed ham to the list. And this is rather rockist of me, but I believe that meat dishes should never be sweet.

Mayonnaise, mustard, cocktail sauce, horseradish, pickle relish, sauerkraut, most creamy salad dressings.
Surf/Turf:
Liver, fish (I only order it when I'm at a seafood restaurant that has a reputation for serving nothing but the freshest fish -- not out of snobbery, but because the taste and smell of less-than-fresh fish makesm me sick), salami, anything that's been sitting in an icky gelatinous brine.
Vegetables:
Eggplant, olives, raw tomatoes (I love them cooked), raw garlic.

*I resisted making the point that in all of the Indian restaurants I'd visited in India, it had been no problem at all.

What I hate probably started when I had chemotherapy: canned tuna is the main thing I will not touch - it's cat sick. I don't like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pretty much avoid animal glands (shut up Dan) on the basis that those body parts you've allowed a surgeon to fix make the corresponding animal parts BLEAH. Brussels sprouts ming, full stop. Margarine, never. Squash, sweet potatoes and yams are pretty gross. American baked beans are vile and I don't really seek out British Heinz either.
But I used to hate egg yolks, bread crusts, all meat fat, mayonnaise (!) and those evil Jello salads featuring in all Minnesota summer potluck barbecues.
I think I got away with it due to eating any vegetable put in front of me. Also, I'd nearly died so every little food fad I had was tolerated.

I was going to make a food ia thread but this seems to serve my purposesI love so much food, but there's so many things that I have hangups about
- broccoli in all forms- brussells sprouts in all forms- cooked cabbage in most forms, more bcz it gives me painful indigestion, not bcz I don't like eating it becuase I do- melted cheese that's been browned. ugh. scabs. gross.- french onion soup where the bread is sealed on the top of the bowl with cheese, so you have no choice but to get all your bread soggy. so gross- canned clams in shitty clam chowder. it's like, little rubbery pieces of ear or something. gross.- canned olives. fuck. you.- panda express. I don't know what the fuck that is but it looks like shellacked dog food- canned cranberry sauce. or cranberry sauce in general. i don't understand it, i don't like it, why do that to perfectly good turkey
that'll do for a start :D
YES I KNOW I'M CRAZY

I've been buying this trail mix that has shards of cacao nibs mixed into it. UGH. The texture is horrid, they're like little teeth shards
gross

raw almonds/anything marzipan is probably the number-one flavour that makes me gag. 4.5 years of living in the US and i'm finally coming round on cilantro - i don't "like" it but i can tolerate it in small amounts now, without feeling like i eating dishsoap.
― just1n3, Tuesday, 22 January 2013 04:34 (thirteen years ago)
Beets (taste like dirt), Mexican papaya (the big ones, kind of a fecal aroma, and I've eaten and liked durian), and the sliced ginger you get with sushi (or chunks of ginger in Asian food, this is the soap food, not cilantro).
