I write. Sometimes I post to my blog. I do temp jobs. I watch professional wrestling on TV (don't laugh, Kurt Angle is the shit).
Where did you come from?
Me mum! Har har. No, if you mean where I live, it's St. Paul, Minnesota (1980s baseball superstar birthplace capital of the world - Paul Molitor, Dave Winfield, Jack Morris, take yerselves a bow). If you mean how I found ILx... I'm not sure. I made a really stupid post in December of 2000, then didn't visit or do anything else until this past spring.
Why are you here?
Well someone has to stick up for El-P.
What are your dreams?
That I am a world-famous rock journalist and I pay Jim DeRogatis $50 an hour to wax my collection of '70s Italian pointy-looking supercars.
Do you have pets?
No. I was thinking of getting a ferret, but those have unfortunate hippie associations. Maybe I could get a badger instead.

Okay..... all you ever wanted to know about C J
Name : C JSex : Yes please. Oh no, wrong answer - I mean "I am female"Age : 34Lives : Oxfordshire, UKWork : I run my own property management company.
Pets : One utterly bonkers dog called Chester - a German Wirehaired Pointer - and two cats. I rescued one cat from having been dumped in a plastic bag in a rubbish bin at motorway services. This cat is vicious and ungrateful, and hates me. Other cat is a little tiger, but also very affectionate. And a bit mad. And he loves Chester. Chester unimpressed.
Favourite drink : Anything really. Vodka, I suppose. Or Gin & Tonic. Pimms in summer.
Favourite dessert : My home made ice cream. Yum. I like profiteroles, too.
Favourite city in the world : Hong Kong
Favourite sport : Watching - rugby (this is probably due to Welsh blood in my veins and the fact my Dad was a former Welsh international player. Rugby is a religion in my family). Favourite sport to play - tennis.
Favourite holiday : Christmas
Can I stop now?!?!?!

* I am from Virginia in good ol' US of A.
* Why am I here? I guess you're not asking about why I exist... I'm on ILE because I get bored at work and would much rather be making conversation with polite strangers (that all seem very bright & interesting I should add).
* My dream is to keep doing what I'm already doing. I hope I don't sound too annoying, but I really like my life as is... Ok, so I could handle working a little less...
* I have 2 cats. Well, I really only have 1 - Pepper - but I live with my bf and he has a kitty too - Lucy.

The Almondvale Shopping Centre. Where I was caught stealing pornography at the age of 12 and taken to the police. No joke.
Oh boy.
Oh, girls.
Nothing serious, but I have casual sex with a neighbour's spaniel. Joke.

Writing for a living. where did you come from?
Minneapolis, but I live in London 5000 miles away from the Minnewegian horde.
I honestly don't know, I always have work I should be doing.
what are your dreams?
I seem eternally to be going to meetings next week about stuff like that.
do you have pets?
In Minnesota, yes: a virtually uninterrupted string of bizarre, psychopathic black poodles.

I'm a web designer.
where did you come from?
London
I think I googled upon a list of albums which then led me to Tape Exchange which led me to ILM which led me here.
I used to be quite good at painting, when I get a place with a bit more space I'd like to do that again. I have this idea of applying a Mexican Day of the Dead theme to the London rush-hour.
I love making music, I'd love to have the time to do more of that. One thing I'm particularly interested in doing is looking at different scales. The standard twelve-note scale is based on simple ratios, I'm intrigued to know what would happen if you had a fifteen note scale, for example.
I'd love to know more about philosophy and anthropology. I'm reading some Lévi-Strauss stuff on myths at the moment and it's fascinating.
I have a miserable home life at the moment - my next door neighbour snores so loudly that I have trouble sleeping. I dream of moving.
do you have any pets?
No.

Technical Clerk for an engineering consultancy (beyond boring)
Paisley, travelled all the way across the river to just outside Glasgow, stayed here.
Googled one day and now I'm addicted, it gets me through the day
To get through the next couple of months and then live a quiet, normal, boring, life (you know 2.4 kids, house with white picket fence etc etc)I have this idea that my life to date might make an interesting book, purely because of the multitude of weird/freaky/bad things that have happened to me in my short little life, but maybe that's just totally naive and it's only interesting to me, so I may attempt it one day or I may not.
I am on a mission to convince my fiancé that a bunny wabbit is a good house pet, but his stance so far is "the bunny arrives and I leave", so at the moment I'm petless

Darkest Hertfordshire by way of Upstate NY and NYC.
Killing time. And it's good practise for interviews, being able to answer ridiculous questions at the drop of a hat.
I would like just to be understood and appreciated in all my contradictory glory... preferably by a dirty dronerock boy with long dark hair and a roman nose. Oh, and to earn a living doing something I don't hate.
No, boyfriends have taken the place of all urges to ever own pets.

where do you come from? - born in princeton. moved to cambridge, MA when i was 17. moved to NYC at 22.
why are you here? - i read FT when i was in college - 'am i cool or not?' and 'i hate music', mostly. i found this through FT. the first post i recall making was almost two years ago, now.
what are your dreams? - no. i have no dreams. no goals, either. i want to get a seaplane and fly around the US at some point.
do you have pets? - no. i like cats, though, and like to take care of them for other people. and i used to live with a guy who was obsessed with maintaining gigantic salt water aquariums, so i have a penchant for weird sea creatures. taking care of them, not eating them, i mean.

Here: Partly because I like the people, partly because I own the server.
Dreams: To be happy. To become a professional producer. To own fast cars. To not worry about money.
Pets: I have a big brown labrador called George. He's great. I want to get a couple of cats at some stage.

where did you come from?Scotland. Paisley, in fact, like Plinky! Though lots of other places since.
why are you here?I think I come here most when I'm living in Tokyo (like now) and miss Anglo-Saxon conversation.
what are your dreams?I would like to see the whole world pedestrianised. I would like the Edinburgh International Festival to happen all year round. I would like to see the puckish spirit of Fluxus, Situationism and other 1960s experimental lifestyles and artforms to return. I would like to see free food given to every inhabitant of the world, initially for a year to see what effect it had.
do you have pets?My nomadic lifestyle and the quarantine rules would mean that any pets I had were permanently two countries behind me, meowing pitifully.
Hey, I have the famous Proust Questionnaire on my iBook, I'm going to start a new thread for the really adult and ambitiously self-absorbed amongst us to answer that!

Where do you live? London. I was born in Bristol.
Do you have pets? No. I am asthmatic, and allergic to most mammal hair (not including human hair, fortunately).
Why are you here? Andrew L thought I might like it here, and he was right. Many of the most interesting, intelligent, knowledgeable, entertaining and generally wonderful people I've ever come across are here, and very few people I dislike.
What are your dreams?Love and happiness, I guess. I'm getting very fond of my new girlfriend, but I really don't know if she feels the same way, so that's a major current focus.

Where do you live?Oxford, for the past nine years. I was born in London.
Do you have pets?I have no pets. They do not suit my lifestyle.
Why are you here? There's a great mix of people here, with a wide spectrum of opinions, and it's fun!
What are your dreams?I want to travel more...I have never visited 49/50 US states, Africa, Australia or South America. Other than that, I'm pretty contented as I am.

of course it would be great to organize a mediterranean FAP :-)only problem is that we don't have pint glasses in mallorca, but size shouldn't be a problem. and there's the best tapas bars on the same neighbourhood! (ned to thread?).
