doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:10 (twenty-three years ago)

This is hard, is that a nuclear cooling tower in the third picture?

A Nairn (moretap), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:18 (twenty-three years ago)

i'm visiting a friend and his baby there. i'm the only one who did not return. everyone else, back there, in that small town, year after year....

i don't know how i feel about returning for a short visit. probably cathartic, but i don't know how or why it would be.

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:20 (twenty-three years ago)

as of yet, but it's important to me, for some reason and when i get at that reason on vacation, then it will be good.

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:21 (twenty-three years ago)

i will leave you with one more vital clue!!!!

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:23 (twenty-three years ago)

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:45 (twenty-three years ago)

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 00:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Doom-e you've posted pictures of mountains, hockey players and Tim Hortons!!

Christ man I'm in Toronto and this game is impossible.

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 01:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Dear Mr. Doom-E,

This is to inform you that, due to budgetary problems and an unexpectedly large influx of population since you moved away, your hometown no longer has the facilities required to house your childhood memories. Because of your itinerant habits, we have been unable to contact you earlier. As a consequence, your entire set of memories have been removed to a facility under contract with the city for the purpose of excess and overflow inventory. We must ask you to take possession of them at your earliest possible convenience, or they must be disposed of by year's end. Thank you.

For retreivals, or further particulars, please contact:

Ned's Mini-Storage and Bait Shop
2240 E. Venison St.
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Regards, &tc.

Aimless, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 01:06 (twenty-three years ago)

it looks like somewhere in British Columbia.

A Nairn (moretap), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 03:07 (twenty-three years ago)

no one got it! the one picture was a dead give away...well....it is pretty small and isolated and now the pictures are gone! which i must heartily protest, except the removal letter was witty....sigh!

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 07:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Chernobyl? or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania?

Tad (llamasfur), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 07:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Doom-e, maybe try posting pictures that actually exceed the three digit pixel barrier, and we could give it another shot.

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 08:35 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't recognise the logos on the jerseys.....it's not the international league, it's not the national league, and it's not the college league....I dunno...

B, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 08:42 (twenty-three years ago)

where was morrisey born?

Queen G (Queeng), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 09:06 (twenty-three years ago)

If he's from the same general area as me then I'll be really embarrassed because I don't have a clue either - what IS on those jerseys?

dave q, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 09:25 (twenty-three years ago)

am anxious as hell in revisiting that particular plot of land.

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Is it Silent Hill ?

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 11:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Welwyn Garden City!

DV (dirtyvicar), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 13:05 (twenty-three years ago)

What the hell, why can't I see these photos? All I'm getting is the ol' red X. I think I might have a good shot at this, if only I could see the damn pix!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 14:37 (twenty-three years ago)

censored by the overlords of scientific non-fun, sean. : - ( you prob. would have guessed it too!

doom-e, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 14:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Windsor?

Nicole (Nicole), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 15:19 (twenty-three years ago)

it looks like one of those pissant mining towns b/w here and van. hinton ?

anthony easton (anthony), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 15:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Hm, okay, I can see the photos here at work. The K on the jerserys throw me, I have to admit. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it's probably something like Owen Sound, Ontario.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 16:08 (twenty-three years ago)

funkytown

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 10 December 2002 16:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I keep thinking the Kalamazoo K-Wings because of the jerseys, but there are no mountains in Kalamazoo....

B, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 23:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Hamilton, Ontario??

B, Tuesday, 10 December 2002 23:59 (twenty-three years ago)

hamilton or maybe pickering?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 00:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Shot in the dark here, Tim Horton the hockey player was from Cochrane, ON, but that's much smaller than 20000 people...

B, Wednesday, 11 December 2002 00:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd would say London, Ont., but that's just a *little* bit too large...

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 00:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I think everyone is on the wrong track with "mountains". I'm pretty sure that one photo is Canadian Shield or part of the Niagara Escarpment, not mountains; there's one photo that looks like one of the country lanes between Toronto and Meaford. And I think it's Ontario because the photo of the Tims has a Toronto photo credit on it; if it was out west it probably wouldn't say that.

Hamilton is way out because that's certainly more than 20,000 people.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 01:30 (twenty-three years ago)

yeh you're right...I guessed that before I noticed the 20,000 stipulation. But I do agree that they're probably aren't mountains, and it does look like Ontario. Other than that, I'm clueless.

B, Wednesday, 11 December 2002 01:39 (twenty-three years ago)

kingston? same as don cherry and kirk mueller?

keith (keithmcl), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 03:53 (twenty-three years ago)

It does look a little like Kingston, but that's about 60 thousand people too large.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 04:16 (twenty-three years ago)

If thats not Ontario I'd be shocked due to the Tims. But all pictures tend to look like Stroke butt on this monitor.

Rebecca (reb), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 05:28 (twenty-three years ago)

(I should point out that someone else said it first and wins the actual guessing prize, though I did stumble across it independently. I'm really just wasting time on google rather than do my overdue work. Sigh... will I ever learn?)

Rebecca (reb), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 05:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Wait...so somebody has already guessed it? who?

B, Wednesday, 11 December 2002 05:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Rebecca = Doom-E?

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 11 December 2002 06:50 (twenty-three years ago)

doom-e, Wednesday, 11 December 2002 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

pre-ilx!!!! isnt that strange!!! i just emailed someone who i know, that you know and he was, yup, that's the same sean. i responded 'weird'...

doom-e, Wednesday, 11 December 2002 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Okay, that's pretty weird. You have to tell me where and when. Was it here in Toronto, or back when I was still in Manitoba?
