Here is a rather sad story about a cat:

When I was little our family cat was named Daisy.
One year, she ate some tinsel off the tree and had to be rushed to the emergency vet b/c it got stuck in her stomach. She was saved. So, I guess it's not that sad of a story after all.

Next story.

My bf's kitty, Lucy, keeps climbing our tree. Actually, she doesn't so much climb it as she does run up it really fast. When we try to get her out, she squeals like a wild squirrel.

One time my family had a live squirrel in our tree. But that has nothing to do with Christmas cats so I won't tell you about it.

The last time my cat was around a Christmas tree she proceeded to eat most of the tinsel on the lower branches. Let's just say the subsequent tinsel exit process was most unpleasant.

Anyone ever actually get a kitten for Christmas? Or is that all just children story Christmas hype?
