Manchester over Xmas

I went to that Soul night at Sofa the other week. It's pretty good though the DJs are arrogant amateurs - 'the snake' FIVE times in one night, I ask you.. Nice little venue though, and not brimming with the first-time round Soul gang (good thing). Actually it wasn't brimming at all, only half full but still, worth checking out. Even my non-N.Soul loving mates liked it, it's not all hardcore obscure tracks. It's not on again until the new year though.

And what's this I hear about the Dancehouse closing? It's a shame if it is because it was a great little place. Is the guy who runs the Soul nights taking them to a different venue?
