Doing One Way Or Another last week was totally inspired. But they shouldn't have given her that dang unplugged geetar which just fell off anyway.

Doesn't she play a hobbit in the upcoming LoTR - 2T?

What is this thread about?

And when the strap gave way she just stood there holding it by the neck and carried on singing. What a professional, eh?

This thread is about BBC Fame Academy!

They're trying to push Lemurr as a great Brit soul singer, maybe if he could hit a few notes now and again he'd be in with a chance. Still he looks the part.

David has a nice smile and could pass as a member of B & S if he sang just a little bit flatter.

Sinead used to be in Kenickie if I'm not mistaken.

David has a nice smile

Would you say the Cheshire cat had a nice smile?

David (David), Friday, 13 December 2002 15:28 (twenty-three years ago)

She should have smashed the guitar, dammit.

Sam (chirombo), Friday, 13 December 2002 15:31 (twenty-three years ago)

She should have smashed the guitar, dammit

That's what I thought - a great opportunity to discard it stylishly (not even smash it mind just toss it coquettishly aside, which would have looked fine with the Blondie song she was performing),
but oh no that would have been too daring.

David (David), Friday, 13 December 2002 15:36 (twenty-three years ago)

She got in trouble last time she was spontaneous on stage (apparently the lighting people can't cope).

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 13 December 2002 15:43 (twenty-three years ago)

This made me laugh. That darn Ainslie with glasses and all quiet looking.

marianna, Friday, 13 December 2002 16:05 (twenty-three years ago)

is it troo tha beeb wont do flame academy evah again due to viewing figures ? - cuz i liked it

who to vote for and why -

That's true, I think. I find it horribly contrived. Like every little apparently spontaneous bit of reality footage is really scripted. And I can't stand the way they constantly cut to other contestants/panel members/relatives during the performances. The coaches and
'headteacher' are horribly smarmy as well and the actual standard of singer is a lot lower than Pop Idol, although Lemarr is pretty good.

David (David), Friday, 13 December 2002 17:40 (twenty-three years ago)

David wins. GIT!

Graham (graham), Saturday, 14 December 2002 02:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Not bad for someone who wasn't even supposed to be on it in the first place. If only he'd stop simpering. (Sinead was great. Also Ainslie's hair was a thing of joy and wonder, so that pic of him with flat hair and serious moody look is a disappointment.)

Rebecca (reb), Saturday, 14 December 2002 03:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I am not impressed with that result grrrrr
