Spain was an abject failure.

Cabbage and Dr C won their semis then Dr C triumphed in the final. The Martin/C match was particularly gripping.

Blimey. A great night - good to see everyone again. I woz pretty blasted by the end, hence bizzarre reggae argument with The Pinefox late doors. (Hey Pine - hope I wasn't too aggressively argumentative. If so - sorry!)

Good to see a high grey panthXOR turnout - Andrew L and Jeff W in addition to me, Mark and Martin.

Ricky T - did I say I'd make a Buggles CDR for you? Whether I did or not, I will anyway! And Cabbage - I will most definitely do you a reggae CDR as promised. I'll try and do this over Christmas.

The bar billiards - I reckon each of my matches could have gone either way. First round was a grim struggle with Pete, in which neither of us played our best. Graham did well in round 2 and was unfortunate with a couple of breaks - could be one to watch in the future. Mr.Skidmore - what can I say! I definitely feared Martin after his high scoring exploits in the first 2 rounds and was fortunate to get a good 800 break in early on. From then on it was a case of defending it and hoping that I crawled over the line first. Since we both scored over 1000 in the end you can see how well Martin played. I can't remember the score in the final, but I think Cabbage and I had both left our best form in the semis. I think it was quite close IIRC.

Jel - well done on getting the ILX comp together!! Nice one!

plans were made for trips, Dr C beat me by 210 points, making the final shot a formality, so I didn't take it. He played well, despite what he says. I was lucky to get to the final at all, still not sure how I beat Tim.

Oh ah hm yes Pete it was but it was also "Tragedy" with the word 'tragedy' replaced by the words 'Dr. C'. I am rather sorry I brought this up now. It was certainly funny at the time, but perhaps you had to be, um, 'there'.
