Using sed/perl regexp type stuff online in a non text forum to correct typos classic or dudd?

Ok, ok, just too used to doing it, won't do it again, etc, etc. If it bothers you that much....... well the boats already sailed after my ill-advised "Places that sound like food" thread that I won't be posting again after...... now.

haha I just had a little dig at lol p xx for doing this! I avoid it because if you aren't a programmer even these very basic lines of sed (I was writing some the other day with directory paths, so it was all like s/\/test\/app/\/\/test\/app1/g and the like, looking absurd) are not necessarily comprehensible.

What about using the SQL*Plus equivalunt?

Yeah, I think that is slightly more intuitive (c is better than s, no trailing /g), but since I'm kind of used to both I'm not much of a judge. I don't really care, and I think people generally understand.
