Hey, let's try and make a meaningful thread composed entirely of pictures! No words allowed. Also, try and keep the pictures less than 30k. To insert a picture, just put pointy brackets around the usual HTML formula:

IMG SRC="http://www.someserver.com/somehomepage/someimage.jpeg"

someimage.jpeg should be the name of a photo somewhere on the web. (Watch out for corporate sites which keep their images in special places.) I think it would be wittier if it's not gross stuff. This could rival the amazing 'flame war backwards' thread if we're visually inventive enough.

Hint: to get the right address for an image on the web, just point the cursor at it, hold down a click, choose 'Open This Image' from the browser's pop-up menu, then the image will appear in a new window with its correct address path in the Location slot. Copy and paste this address in your URL as exampled above, remembering the pointy brackets.

I think its safe to say this thread has been more or less a total failure. Lets try again after a thorough session on how the hell to do it. Plus, do these pictures all contain a dialoge? They all seem random.

I agree with Mike. I posted my pic just so I could see if I was doing it right. You have to use the BRACKETS. You know, the greater-than, less-than arrow-like things (carets?). Look at the page source and use the successful postings as examples.

Then, it could be a visual "only connect" or exquisite corpse type of thing, where each picture is a response to the preceding one. Of course, two people might post their responses at the same time.

I had that picture of the man and the tiny horse in my stolen journal. It came from a Ntnl. Goegraphic. My high school art teacher was both a pervert and a lousy teacher, but he did have every issue of Ntnl. Geographic going back to 1932, so I spent all of my classtime taking pictures I like, which he allowed.
