I am just thinking right now of these people I used to know through a friend. They would all smoke weed in their house, but if you smoked cigarettes - which included two of the people who LIVED in the house - you had to go outside. Can one of the resin scrapers explain this to me? I don't smoke weed, so maybe it makes more sense if you smoke weed. I mean, like the smell of weed makes me feel queasy - but I don't smoke it. So maybe it's the reverse for potheads? Help?

i'd say that weed smoke, while distinctive-smelling during actual smoking, does not have the staying power of cigarette funk. smoking cigs indoors is crossing a line into the realm of permanent stank

I don't know - as someone who doesn't like weed (I'm not one for "relaxer" drugs) I think the smell stays around. my ex roomie smoked out occasionaly and I could smell it in my house.

I smoke weed in my house all the time, and yeah, it's a rule that cigarettes must be smoked out of doors. It more or less comes down to the smell sticking around; it's a gross, stale smell and will be there for a good few days. Open a window for an hour and your weed smell is gone; it's not so for ciggies.

anyone who smokes both cigs and weed regularly is just asking to get emphysema by the time they're 40. plus, once your out of highschool its probably pretty uncool to always be seen smoking something.

Coming down off of acid + no more pot = time to scrape some pipes. The last time I did this (a long time ago), the usually loving, life-giving bong began to look like this awful dead burnt tree, and the nasty nasty taste was only accentuated by the acid, and I puked. Puking on acid = mega dud. Resin = nasty nasty.

There are so many plants in this world that are not boring! They are so exciting as to make America's Most Wanted plant sigh and take the last train to dullsville.

Take, for example, the noble skunk cabbage, which creates its OWN HEAT to grow early through beds of pre-spring snow. And smells like rotting meat!

Think about the beautiful trumpet vine:

There's one in a shady, narrow spot on the side of my house. The strong winds of 'monsoon season' rip it from its holdings, but it keeps going, strong and proud, sending up new tendrils with sticky attachments every time. So powerful! So inspiring! And of course, its blossoms are beautiful.

What's the pro of weed? You can bore the shit out of me by smoking it or annoy me by trying to cajole me into smoking it with you? It's not especially an attractive plant, and it's hard to grow, too. Give me a good tomato plant anyday; that'll bring a lot more joy into my life.

I know, mainly just my husband & my best bud are boring (srsly) high, and they're like the only people I'm around. I don't hate weed, but it's bad for my mental health, and it's always a drag when people can only have a good time or watch movies when high.
