This question can be approached two ways: either the celebrity can look like the historical Jesus, or he can resemble him in his approach to life and his deeds. (Or both.)

Simple martyrdom, or the illusion thereof, does not suffice here.

Given a few years to grow a beard,I reckon Mark Owen would make a fine SOG(son of god).Even right down to the sandals,the 'peace n goodwill' attitude,and the humble disposition.But he could never be the real JC,not if he was born in the North of England.I mean,where would they have found three wise men and a virgin?
