Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:53 (twenty-three years ago)

how do you think neil armstrong feels about the 'moon landings'? ;)

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:55 (twenty-three years ago)

recalculate with exponentially increasing life-span due to advanced medical technologies and potential space race w/ China, EU, USA.

better?

cprek, Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:55 (twenty-three years ago)

if i ever win space-travel in a competition, alan, it's yours.

michael wells (michael w.), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:58 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah, fuck it, you could have mine, too.

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

"You were brought up on the space race, now they've got you cleaning toilets" = best line of poetry for the last forty years ever?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:28 (twenty-three years ago)

thanks, michael (and greg). i'll hold you to it.

Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:32 (twenty-three years ago)

thank you Lance Bass.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:34 (twenty-three years ago)

"What is the X prize?
a us $10 000 000 prize to jumpstart the space tourism industry
through competition between the most talented rocket experts in the
world. ovr 20 teams from 5 countries have entered.(...)"
and here are the teams:
http://www.xprize.org/teams/teams.html

everybody knows $10 million is pocket change in this industry, but I
think it's neat to generate competition and publicity. IMO it's the
best thing next to stop being competitive and be constructor of
oneslef with the help of the other. but I'm just a dreamer.

Allan, Maybe you should listen to lost of Sun Ra. That may help you.

brg30 (brg30), Thursday, 9 January 2003 00:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Couldn't you just sneak yourself in by hiding in the luggage area?

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 00:40 (twenty-three years ago)

"lost" should be "lots"

brg30 (brg30), Thursday, 9 January 2003 00:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Where do you think you are now?

Rockist Scientist, Thursday, 9 January 2003 00:45 (twenty-three years ago)

The wrong bit of space to be floaty in.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 9 January 2003 02:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Shit. Space is only half the goal. Space and a giant robot to fly around in is the dream here people. Quit settling. Space without the giant robot is like dwarf sex.

Tom Millar (Millar), Thursday, 9 January 2003 02:30 (twenty-three years ago)

You should go be Lance Bass's personal assistant, he'll take you to space with the Russians!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Sounds like a tag line for the wackiest porno yet!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Space without the giant robot is like dwarf sex

I'm still waiting for a "... without the [something missing, like pineapple]" at the end of that.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Alan, with today's oxygen prices, we can't afford to doubt that we will ever get to be in space.

rainy (rainy), Thursday, 9 January 2003 04:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm starting to worry that I'm never going to invent my own rocket ship like Tom Swift either.

o. nate (onate), Thursday, 9 January 2003 04:07 (twenty-three years ago)

where does that line come from ?

anthony easton (anthony), Thursday, 9 January 2003 04:20 (twenty-three years ago)

g-kit (g-kit), Friday, 22 October 2004 08:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i also wanted to go into space as a kid, and still do to this day. it's always been one of my great passions. sadly, i doubt i'll ever be a rich tycoon who can afford to go, but time will tell i suppose...

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Friday, 22 October 2004 08:48 (twenty-one years ago)

My god! It's full of stars!

robster Bowman (robster), Friday, 22 October 2004 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe once the Richard Branson craft is operable they will hold competitions and the winners will be able to take the trip (15,000 runners up each receive free tickets on any return Virgin train journey for one day only)

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 22 October 2004 12:11 (twenty-one years ago)
