Stupid blogging question

I've been posting to my blog a ton lately and with that I've realized that it's probably a pain in the ass to link to specific items of note (as some sites have linked to it to point out specific entries that are now halfway down the page). I know most of the blogs I read have little permalinks below the posts, but I think that's a built-in feature of blogspot.com. I'm on pitas.com and am quite used to it so I'm not itching to move; is there any way to integrate permalinks into my posts another way?

You could always hardcode them yourself-

<a name="2003-01-10">

[your entry here]

<a href="http://yourblog.pitas.com/archive-page-this-entry-will-be-on.html#2003-01-10">

You'd have to remember to stick them in by hand at the beginning & end of every entry, though, which would probably turn into a huge pain.
