ecommerce hosting suggestions

I'm working on a parecon inspired ecommerce but I'm not too sure where to look to find a good deal on a web hosting solution.
I checked http://www.tophosts.com/showcases/ecommerce/

this one got my attention:
"WEBMASTERS.COM offers e-commerce hosting with 750MB disk space,
100POP3 mailboxes, 20GB data transfer, 100 FTP accounts, unlimited
subdomains, autoresponders, PHP, ASP, FrontPage, CGI, SSL, free
shopping cart, merchant accounts... for $9.95/mo."
but ssl and database access turned out to be an extra $5/mo each,
wich I will most likely need, so it's about 20 bucks then.

tips, comments or suggestions about hosts featured on that list,
personal experience with web hosting or with ecommerce, links to lists and review of other ecommerce hosts etc welcomed.

Paypal shopping cart works well and the credit card handling fees are very reasonable, there's no monthly fee. I'd use pay pal for the commerce bits and look for a good database site provider. Paypal provide an extension for Dreamweaver to make developing the site relatively simple, particularly if your using ultradev for the database integration.
