Do you love him as much as I do?

Mary (Mary), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:03 (twenty-three years ago)

oh, *that* Spike. yes, he's good too.

wait, he's 40? 40?!

gabbneb, Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:18 (twenty-three years ago)

My last girlfriend (I think it's fair to call her that now) had a poster of him in her bedroom. I wasn't sure about that. I'm not sure about him on TV either - bad accent, of course (it took me several episodes to get it through my head that he was supposed to be English), but the character has gone through what to me seem unconvincing changes. I know he has an overly plot-devicey microchip implanted in his brain stopping him harming humans, but he still has a demonic soul, which seems to be remembered too rarely now. (I should note that I am nearly a season behind American viewers and those with cable.)

Yes, the actor is hot.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:21 (twenty-three years ago)

40 is young, anyway...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Surely it doesn't matter what age he is as his character is centuries old.

Ed (dali), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:23 (twenty-three years ago)

and immortal

Ed (dali), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:24 (twenty-three years ago)

ah, I thought this was going to be about Spike Dudley.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Eur. He's 40.

is he still a big crap goth who talks about hem hem DARK DESIRES?

Al Ewing (Al Ewing), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't want to be too spoilery, but he's way too passive and wussy this season. I miss the snarky Spike.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Taking sides: Spike (Buffy) vs Spike Dudley vs Spike Jones vs Spike Jonze vs Spike Milligan vs Spike the dog from Peanuts...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:39 (twenty-three years ago)

I have moved on to Sark.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 12 January 2003 20:41 (twenty-three years ago)

...vs. Spike Lee vs. spike yr drink....

M Matos (M Matos), Sunday, 12 January 2003 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

the article on the NY times is taking a v long time to download so i didn't.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 12 January 2003 21:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole is a wise woman.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 12 January 2003 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I got my mum a framed porno pose picture of him for Christmas. It was one of those gifts that you really wished you had kept for yourself. I am shamefully swoonsome about him.

Madeleine (Madeleine), Sunday, 12 January 2003 23:50 (twenty-three years ago)

He's a bloody wanker!

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 13 January 2003 01:14 (twenty-three years ago)

It was great to see a picture of the new king of the fake british baddies, even if it does emphasize how young he is and how wrong my crush on him is.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 13 January 2003 03:29 (twenty-three years ago)

He's great and I'm really looking forward to how he acts w/a soul in the next (for NZ) season. I should probably avoid this thread in case of spoilers... wouldn't his being 40 make him pretty close to Anthony Stewart Head's age?

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 13 January 2003 04:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Who is this Sark? Damn you Gilmore Girls for keeping me away from the Buff.

Mary (Mary), Monday, 13 January 2003 04:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Sark is on Alias...sorry for the confusion.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 13 January 2003 04:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole, I just googled for his age and yeah - yipes - born in 1981, I feel dirty now! He doesn't look that young though... these hollywood folx always take about 8 years off their real ages for press purposes anyway don't they? Can I keep telling myself that or would it be inexcusably wrong?

Kim (Kim), Monday, 13 January 2003 04:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Between this and Timberlake I've just resigned myself to the fact that I've become an old perv that preys on young meng.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 13 January 2003 05:04 (twenty-three years ago)

...and has my address...

Graham (graham), Monday, 13 January 2003 13:45 (twenty-three years ago)

It's all so clear now.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 13 January 2003 14:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Slap it up, flip it, rub it down, OH NO!!!!!!!

Bell Biv Devoe (Dan Perry), Monday, 13 January 2003 15:20 (twenty-three years ago)

eleven months pass...
Can we talk about him some more?

Melissa W (Melissa W), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a Spike action figure.

Carey (Carey), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I want a Spikebot.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry kim, I don't think I look like Sark.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I have the spike action figure too. Though it does seem wrong that he's stranded in an island of Hello Kitties.

He's been annoying on Angel so far, perhaps now that he's not a ghost his character will have a little more purpose.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:23 (twenty-two years ago)

perhaps now that he's not a ghost

What happened to good old fashioned soap opera 'the character died no wait it was a popular character so we'll bring the person back with a different actor wait the original actor is interested in returning that'll be the long lost twin brother on the run from the law' ploy? Ghosts, pah.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:25 (twenty-two years ago)

oh no!! THIS thread.

and Noodles, you do too. or at least bits of you do. ahem.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:30 (twenty-two years ago)

(And the more I think about it the more I wonder.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:30 (twenty-two years ago)

wether Spike is going to appear on Alias?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I shouldn't ask what bits, should I?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes you should, cause I have no clue.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:34 (twenty-two years ago)

wether Spike is going to appear on Alias?

No, the question that El Diablo asked.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

bits of your face you perv wad - sheesh

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Just how many bits of Sark have you seen?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:38 (twenty-two years ago)

far less than the bits I've seen of you, cap'n topless

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I felt inspired by Trailer Park Boys, what can I say?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:44 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.showcase.ca/trailerparkboys/images/about/cast/p_patrick_roach.jpg

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 04:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Carey (Carey), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 05:17 (twenty-two years ago)

*attempts to avoid commenting on the possibility of Spike actually having a "12 inch Spike"*

*wonders where the hell that came from*

Tenacious Dee (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 09:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Spike TV? Has anyone seen the MXC (Most extreme elimination challege) that just takes clips of a Japanese game show (Takeshi's Castle) and has some ridiculous announcers say stupid things over it.
