The state of Unaswered Questions

It's really piling up these days

Do you sometimes leave people's questions unanswered to teach them a lesson?

[not answering this would be a terrific joke]

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Nick I can't fo this to you (although you have just failed to reply to my text message - I need help with Time Splitters.)

Anna (Anna), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:46 (twenty-three years ago)

BUT I KNOW NOTHING OF YOUR SEQUEL.

I wish I hadn't mistyped the title, for some reason.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:49 (twenty-three years ago)

We should each adopt one of the poor little orphans.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Well my post was supposed to be to, not 'fo', so there you go.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I have Timesplitters 2, what help do you need Anna?

Cozen (Cozen), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:53 (twenty-three years ago)

unassward questions.

this is a relief after that long period.........

RJG (RJG), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:53 (twenty-three years ago)

'I can't to this to you?' - that's just moronic.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Please no one answer that "vaginas" thread. Don't feed the pigeons...

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah Nordic, it was the vaginas that made me think of it.

I'm saddest about the edgeware (sic) greengrocers one.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:56 (twenty-three years ago)

Um, some of those questions below actually have an answer! But are classified as unanswered. Why?

donut bitch (donut), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicholas I am so hurt.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:58 (twenty-three years ago)

It's when the questioner is the only one to have answered. Graham is v.strict these days.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Why, Anna? Did a Zombie Chef get you?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:59 (twenty-three years ago)

ok, I adopted "For the muso's of NYC."

And yes, the reason I ignored it was to teach it a lesson about not pimping their band here.

The person hadn't opted for email notifications so I hope my answer is useful now, rather than encouraging of bad behavior.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 13 January 2003 21:59 (twenty-three years ago)

By you calling me moronic, you moron.

The word was meant to be 'do'.

I have abandoned Time Splitters II for now. I completed the first level. I just couldn't destroy the biohazard thing, I have now though.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Some don't deserve answers, especially that vaginas one. I think it's probably best to ignore that kind of question, rather than try to condemn it loudly. Don't feed the trolls, etc.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:12 (twenty-three years ago)

You're right, those ones are vicious curs that deserve to rot in Unanswered. But some are sweet and cuddly, like kate' spam one, aw.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:14 (twenty-three years ago)

U R all elitists.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't really have a vagina to offer in any case

Gordon (Gordon), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Not even one?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Like if you answer your own question, it still gets left in unanswered. Some of them are just slow burners which are just too clever or way ahead of their time.

Perhaps, we could post links to our dearly unanswered and beg for them to be answered?

jel -- (jel), Monday, 13 January 2003 22:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually N, I'm pleased you pointed you pointed out that edgware greengrocers one, because it does actually have some kind of relevance to me. I just hadn't seen it before.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 13 January 2003 23:16 (twenty-three years ago)

I fear this sad fate for:

It's a cosby sweater!

felicity (felicity), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 02:49 (twenty-three years ago)

actually, sometimes i take a look at the list of unanswered ones and answer them if i feel sorry for the questioner, you know, in case they feel left out or something. only if they arent a troll though and i dont do it to really stupid ones.

donna (donna), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 03:37 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyone who can think of an answer to the Cosby Sweater thread is clearly dysfunctional.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 03:41 (twenty-three years ago)

well, I think I shied away from it coz I don't know whether it refers to a jumper or someone who sweats. I really have no idea if Bill Cosby has a perspiration problem or not, I mean everyone glistens a bit under the harsh lighting they use in sitcom studios.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:12 (twenty-three years ago)

The vaginas poster and the biffo poster are one and the same - not the most successful threadstarter.

When I saw the title I assumed vaginas was Anthony actually!

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:17 (twenty-three years ago)

There was a Cosby sweater thread before, it was a beautiful Saturday morning and I remember posting on it, think Carsmile and Dan were there. and you and you and you.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:22 (twenty-three years ago)

i replied to the sandcastle one just now, even though (or perhaps because)it was fairly twee

robin (robin), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Gah I played Timesplitters once and just could not understand it or do ANYTHING at all and Magnus killed me all the time. Bloody first person perspective, bring back Skool Daze is wot I say (actually this has GBA release no?)

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:44 (twenty-three years ago)

(threads with replies only from the person who asked them have to be put back in Unanswered manually, which I haven't done for a long long time)

Graham (graham), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 15:22 (twenty-three years ago)

classic 60s love pop?

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 22:08 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm gonna answer that one!
