I've just seen what Graham has done to the "Anarchy" board that was set up a few days ago. Nice one.

For those of you who didn't see it before there were a couple of threads or so asking about peoples opinions on race and a thread linking to a piece about why whites were better than blacks.

I feel the need to apologise on behalf of AAD as I think what has happened is this -

A few days ago the guy who started posting html wierdness all over the old Ask A Drunk found the new one. He's apologised and been ok but he seems to have dragged a troll along with him (just like episode 3 of season 6 of Buffy) who set up the Anarchy board and starting posting racial / personal abuse on the new Ask A Drunk.

He started a new thread:-
WHAT'S THE DEFINITION OF THE AMERICAN DREAM?...

and started to troll like a trooper on it. It was fine for a while (fun with morons is a good game), but he ended up insulting somebody with

"Sure was you dumb fucking bitch. Anyways if you don't know the language go the fuck back.
Good thing there is a war on, and that women can join the military.
Because alot of dumb shit bitches like you are CANNON FODDER"

Which I kind of thought was a bit over the line, especially as he was retorting to the persons first or second ever post.

I kinda feel a bit shitty for deleting a message (free speech, who the fuck am I? etc.) and am a bit embarrased that this guy has turned up here on our account. Grrr. What to do?

the one thing i dont get about free speech/censorship is this: as far as i see it, it is the internet that is free speech, not necessarily components within. it is not actually possible to censor anybody here, because they are quite capable of making their own site. their free speech has not been compromised in the slightest. i can stop somebody from writing on my site, i am not censoring them though, they are quite welcome to do it somewhere else.

ultimately, its moderators decision, i have no say, and cannot argue one way or another. as far as i see it, andrew is letting his server be used, and the moderators are doing a lot of work in keeping the site running, so it would be churlish for me to throw toys out of the pram one way or the other.

Yeah I agree. The persistance of this guy troubles me though. If he's the guy I think he is he has been posting abuse to the old AAD continuously for months now, even though there is pretty much no-one there to read it. His first post to the old AAD still makes me laugh:-
"I come from All Things Final Fantasy 2, I come in anger and hatred" or something like that. Wooooo. Scary.

What bugs me is I know I should just leave people like that alone but they do annoy me. I think I need a hot chocolate or something nice to cheer me up.

Well, he's dealt with per se. He started going on about mexican immigrants so I referred him to the fact that in a few decades there will be more Spanish speakers than English ones in the US. Then purported the idea that it is very likely his grandchildren will be swept of their feet by a sultry latin lover at the prom. So he comes back with the frighteningly eloquent "Suck my dick stupid cuntface". Then I wrote a little sketch of the grandchild / latin lovers fictional conversation. In Spanish.

He might not go away but dang I feel better.

I totally agree with you deleting posts/closing the board. Nothing's stopping the guy from going out, starting his own "I Hate ILXor and Mexican Immigrants and Dumb Bitches" board but there's no code of ethics that says we have to let him stay here. Agreed with others about the behavior vs physical attributes.
