Note to UK listees, today on brit tv sees not 1, not 2 but THREE of the gratest singing along to movies in ONE AFTERNOON!!! we have Bugsy Malone followed by Sound of Music followed by Grease !Y!A!Y! maybe i don't need digital tv after all... (remember all three of these films will be subtitled for word correctness, whilst singing)

B-But they clash w/ 'The League of Gentleman" (nb: not wretched 'comedy' or ho-hum Alan Moore comic, but great Brit crime comedy caper...)

Steve: You are a sick, sick man. You're not one of those people who goes to that thing in London where they sing along to TSOM dressed as nuns, are you?!

I strongly suspect Carsmilesteve's initial public appearances singing were done as a rather fetching Brad in a Rocky Horror production.

No, he was in Black Lace before that.

I forced everyone in our flat to watch Grease yesterday but do you know what so-called ITV 1 did? They CUT Look at Me I'm Sandra Dee!! Or whatever it's called. Which renders the bit at the end where she sings to herself at Thunder Road about 'Sandy you must start anew' etc. to the same tune totally pointless and without any context! I was disgusted.

I don't know about you chaps, but if I had to walk down the aisle to my equivalent of "How do you solve a problem like Maria" instead of the good ole WEDDING BLUES I'd be rather annoyed. I mean, what's it inferring? She's walking down the aisle in the poshest church in Austria (maybe) and the nuns are singing a song calling her a FLIBBERTIGIBBET??

CHEEK.

The Sound of Music = CLASSIC. Boo the Nazis! ILE trip to Sing-A-Longa- Sound of Music down the Prince Charles anyone?

Sarah, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Been there, seen it, done it years ago Sarah (and its best not so much for the singing as the comments people shout out - Don't look now, she's off down the gazebo with an eighty piece orchestra. Or - that's not a little girl, its an animated cabbage).

When will they do Singalonga Grease though? Listening on TV those songs are produced terribly.

and what a lovely time i had, however missed grease due to going to the pub. I have never been to singalongasoundo'music or rocky horror (although i have tried on several occasions to see rocky but failed). I keeping my singing along (and dressing as nuns and transvestites) for the privacy of my own home.

i'm not making any comment about black lace...

What? No Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee? Now I'm glad I didn't watch the whole thing.

I went to the Sound of Music at the PC. Fun! Dressing up as brown paper packages wrapped up in string seemed to be a popular costume choice.

If you guys do the Sound of Music singalong, I WANT TO GO WITH.

I'm currently in Edingburgh listening to "Do You Really LIke It?" by Emma and Sarah and drawing odd stares because I've laughed myself into incontinence. I WUV YOU GUYS.

OMYGOD. Joei is CLEARLY CAUGHT doing the responding "Oi-oi!"s. BRILLIANT.
