I downloaded a Wilco song, attempted to write an essay on Renoir and Modernism and felt a nagging, distant panic. Oh, yeah- they just started the local, 24hr version of Big Brother, so every now and then I watched a bunch of people doing nothing and arguing over whether the stuff in the fridge looks more like butter or cheese.

I've been playing Grim Fandango! What a good game that is. Before that I finished Freespace 2, which woz easy as it lets you skip levels if you are rubbish, like me. Later I will act on an idea I had during the drought, that being to go through my music collectiona and have a damn good clearout. Ian Brown? How in God's name did that get there?

"can people please not write tosh about name servers and nonsense related to something else completely unrelated to the london indie stuff. its not right now is it. or write it somewhere else. i don't remember signing up to london indie with it being a substitute for 'something else' and it aint. i'm sure you were all very bored but no need to drag the rest of us down."

I checked ILE every five minutes when it was broken and then when it unbroke I didn't actually check it and find out that it had returned for several hours. Gah. I also slept quite a bit, decided to follow some more OpenGL tutorials, realised I was too lazy, and tried to recreate Kid Spatula's "Qisope" in my trusty sequencer instead, then got too lazy and too confused after several hours of playing around and 50 seconds of resulting sequencing and put some shitty breakcore- by-numbers deth beatz underneath the lot. I also sent off a cheque to keep my webpage hosted for another year even though there isn't anything there and there never will be and drank lots of caffeine. Thrills, eh?

I also continued my quest to get everyone I know saying "= pure rock". "Qisope" = pure rock. Caffeine (but not the band) = pure rock. Boards of Canada - "Zoetrope" = pure swoonsome rock. Yeah!
