A few weeks ago, I was waiting for a bus and there was a girl at the bus stop who asked me if I could give her 50p for the bus. She promised to give it back if I saw her again but then I DID see her again the next week and she DID give me the 50p back.

That restored my faith in humanity. So, people don't equal shit, well not all of them.

Was she cute? Cute girls restore my faith in humanity. Especially if they're slightly "off" looking (like that Dan Clowes strip extolling the virtues of "Ugly Girls.") Like the girl who gets my coffee every day and knows to give me extra sugar. That restores my faith in humanity. Until you get to know them. Then they usually equal shit.

6th grade, Art Class. I was the only one who had remembered to bring green paper; four people asked me for some; I complied. When the fifth person came and asked for some, I said "no". My art teacher gave him some and said "Daniel, stop being so GREEDY!"

At the end of the year, there was a party...the art teacher called me to a circle of friends of hers...we talked a bit, and then a girl near us dropped her student card. Two of the ppl immedatley noticed and knelt down to get it...the art teacher knelt down after someone else had already grabbed the card. After the girl got her card back, the teacher turned to her friends and said "see, Daniel is one of those kids who doesn't do ANYTHING for ANYONE. If someone lost something, Daniel would NEVER pick it up!"

So, I'm with Slipknot. Either that, or my art teacher was secretly a member of Slipknot, I'm not sure.
