Uuhhh... what do I remember about Maggie Vail? She drives MOTHERFUCKING FAST!!! Holy shit, does she drive fast. Like, terrifyingly fast. Those speeds might be safe on those long, straight stretches of road in the Pacific Northwest, but driving like that on little twisty precarious mountain roads between Manchester and Sheffield will get you KILLED!!!

And, erm, they left their tapes in our car. Loads of metal and classic rawk. We were so grateful. After two weeks of the DJ playing LeTigre and Sleater Kinney every fucking night, we were DYING for some Who and some Zeppelin.

Sorry I can't give you any gratuitous nudity stories. I did, however, discuss Marshall amp wattage and mascara tips with Sarah Bangs, though. Is that good enough for ya? ;-)

Thread coincidences: I just saw them! Just now! Because my friends' band was opening for them. They were ... well, I want to say "convincing," because I don't even usually like this sort of thing but I was completely taken with their presentation of it: they made it seem great.

In "snatch"-related news, Maggie has a much cuter haircut than that now (involving bangs), and while carrying amps afterward I decided that she is sort of the cutest thing ever, in part because she seemed completely unable to walk from point A to point B like a normal person and instead skipped, hopped funnily from foot to foot, or did cartwheels. (She really did cartwheels.)

My favorite Bangs song was that one that all the other ones are miniscule variations on.

I LOVE the Bangs. I'm so glad they've got their own thread!

I don't like their new EP as much as their other stuff, but what can ya do? I saw them play last year and they were really fuckin' loud and had a ridiculous amount of echo on their vocals. I just stood right in front of the stage in a daze. It was awesome. But then I begged them to come back to town and they haven't. So sad.

I really wanted to go to Ladyfest cuz Sarah was teaching a guitar class but I couldn't afford it. :(
