No, not some new Kindercore band.

Just wondering what you all thought of this food stuff.

Damn, I could have sworn it was another Of Montreal spinoff, or maybe the lost track from Bubblegum Hits Volume 22. "I Love My Sunshine Baby" by the Marzipan Divide was a GRATE song!!!

Marzipan is the food of the gods. I used to hate fruitcake, but I maintained this myth that cats love almonds just so I could have an excuse for why all the marzipan would be nibbled off the side in the morning.

I could still just eat the stuff whole, in batches, in sheets, in lumps, coloured pink, wrapped around petit fours or on battenburg cakes, yum yum yum, I've got marzipan in my tum...

Man, I used to have a song called "Marzipan Brian Jones" ... I can't remember how it went or any of the lyrics... I'll have to dig it out and redo it as a paen to Anton now! I had totally forgotten about it! It dates back to about 1992 or something...

The nectar of the Gods.

marzipan can be alright in the proper quantity and in the proper situation.

my mother went to Germany and Austria a couple of years ago and brought back these little chocolate Mozart balls filled with marzipan that were pretty tasty. it's all about proper proportioning.

Maybe I haven't had the "good stuff" but I think it's awful to eat, though pleasant enough to look at.

I have a friend who likes to make Homestar say "Marzipan" over and over.

Millar (Millar), Sunday, 9 February 2003 16:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Nectar of the gods. My favorite cake (as jess is aware) is princess cake, which is covered and layed with thick layers of this stuff.

But it is a band

DB scares me.

I know about this but I don't actually I've ever had any...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 9 February 2003 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Marzipan and I have a bit of a history.

Mozartkugeln are nice though.

Paul Eater (eater), Monday, 10 February 2003 04:35 (twenty-three years ago)

I can sit down and eat like 10 lbs of marzipan at once.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 10 February 2003 04:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Marzipan is yuck. I don't like almond-flavoured anything (even almonds) so that doesn't help. Funnily, Cherry Coke tastes like marzipan a wee bit too. So I don't like it either. Not a sweet tooth at all, me.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 10 February 2003 04:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Everyone, feel free to give your unwanted marzipan to me. And your unwanted fruitcake.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 10 February 2003 04:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I've never voluntarily eaten marzipan, but I have done some of those sculpture things with it. Too cool.
