winamp and wma

ok, now winamp is refusing to play any wma files at all, when it used to do this quite happily. any ideas?

i have one WMA file on my system and WinAmp is playing it fine - did you check that your WinAmp is ticked to support WMA files?

Check you have the correct output plug-in

Actually, i think it's INPUT plug-in. Sorry. But, if you haven't try looking on Winamp's site

Also: is it Winamp v2.81 or the ugly v3.0?

3.0 blows goats. It takes forever to load up, and I can't (easily (that I've seen)) put a directory in the bookmarks list.

yeah, i never remember having trouble, but now i've got the joy division paradiso bootleg in wma and can't play it. grr.

eleven months pass...

ok so mine plays em, but can one use winamp to convert to wav? or are wmas just used by the devil and discerning if perverse online record stores
