So I turn it into something more useful.

P.S. I don't really hate music.

I'll kill you!

(P.S. I won't kill you)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:07 (twenty-three years ago)

what would that be good for, celeste?

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:08 (twenty-three years ago)

That's really clever!

(P.S. it's not really)

(scrawled on the envelope: YES IT IS)

It's good for a birthday present for my brother. I'm sure he'll find some use for it... I've made others, one is a fruit bowl thing. Then some made out of singles I'm going to use to keep junk like keys and money in. I think that one will be a plant pot.

Celeste (Celeste), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Dare I ask which records you have destroyed/improved?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Singles
Owen Paul - My Favourite Waste of Time
Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Climie Fisher - Love Changes (Everything)
Kylie Minogue - I Should be so Lucky
John Parr - St Elmo's Fire

Albums
Cocktail Piano of Rene Armand with Carlini's World of Strings
Showaddywaddy
Nina & Frederick

I was going to melt a Stereo Demo one, but I think he might like that playable.

Celeste (Celeste), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh I didn't own any of this until this morning. I've been raiding charity shops.
Actually I did have the Owen Paul single.
*hides in shame*

celeste (Celeste), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:24 (twenty-three years ago)

you ruined a couple of good records.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:25 (twenty-three years ago)

I keep seeing as a novelty item these coasters which are made up of old 45 labels laminated - MONETISE!!

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Showaddywaddy will just slowly morph back into shape and haunt you forever. Try making Showaddywaddy pint glasses and sell them to Malcom 'The Duke' Allured so he can use them in his pubs. I'm sure he'd be pleased.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:28 (twenty-three years ago)

awww, that poor Kylie record. :(

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 19:28 (twenty-three years ago)

JM and I once smashed a Grace Jones record just to see what it was like to smash a record.

It was great fun.

Celeste,I whole-heartly aprrove of your improving all of those records excecpt Tears for Fears-have you no heart ice queen!!!

brg30 (brg30), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 23:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I figure as I have MP3s of all the singles, and no record player I've not lost anything. My mum was quite upset that I'd melted Nina & Frederick, she liked them.

As for Showaddywaddy coming back to haunt me, that one stayed in the oven a litle bit too long. It's beyond pint glasses, it's nore abstract art.

celeste (Celeste), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Justyn, the Kylie one hasn't been cooked yet. Would you like it? :)

celeste (Celeste), Tuesday, 11 February 2003 23:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I once traded away a Grace Jones record and lived to regret it.

Sean (Sean), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 02:11 (twenty-three years ago)

We were throwing them down the streets and such. Again, just to see what they did.

jm (jtm), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 02:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Nina and Frederick were always destined for domestic ware.

ducklingmonster, Wednesday, 12 February 2003 02:30 (twenty-three years ago)
