I've just heard about some really good travel deal via British Airways that I might be able to use for the trip -- I know it's in November...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Haha Ned!

"Hey guys, hope you don't mind if I crash your wedding but I just COULDN'T pass up the airfare! Mmm, is that salmon? *gnosh*"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:14 (twenty-three years ago)

PRECISELY my plan! ;-)

I know he was planning on a reception for friends (if he'll have me *sniff*) since the wedding itself was apparently fully booked by family etc, and I'm going over there no matter what -- but I certainly won't mind if I can get over there on the cheap. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:25 (twenty-three years ago)

The reception/party will be mid-October. Wedding start of November. Anyone mental enough to make it over for the October party will of course be welcome!

Tom (Groke), Wednesday, 12 February 2003 23:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Rayyyy, I'm there.

DV (dirtyvicar), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Mid-October? Sounds good! Can you nail down anything more than that or is it still up in the air? (There's a really good deal via British Airways -- $200 roundtrip, apparently -- that is about to expire, I gather.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:05 (twenty-three years ago)

OK this is super provisional cause my best men should be arranging it not me but I'd say it'll be around the 17th if thats a Friday.

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:06 (twenty-three years ago)

*makes mental note of it* Okay, crossed fingers I'll have timed this right -- thanks!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I mean obviously if it isnt then and you come over we will show you a good time!

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Either way, rock and roll, yes. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:12 (twenty-three years ago)

For anyone else crazy enough (if you're in the States):

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:16 (twenty-three years ago)

...ah, piss. Closer review shows that is indeed good for November, but not October. Alas! Alternate planning will now occur, though. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:17 (twenty-three years ago)

that is an amazing deal!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned, are you planning to break it up? This isn't The Graduate you know...

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

NED: [banging against large window] TOM! TOM! TOM! TOM!
[Quick panning shots showing outraged, angry guests furiously mouthing denunciations and insults, ending on a close-up of TOM]
TOM: [tears streaming down face] NED!
[cue "Sounds of Silence" as covered by Sheryl Crow and David Gahan]

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 13 February 2003 00:50 (twenty-three years ago)

prices for these time frames have been super good recently. last month, travelocity was offering round trips to most of western europe for under 350 from the u.s.

boxcubed (boxcubed), Thursday, 13 February 2003 03:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan of course has it right.

Nicole, shame on you. Isabel is quite happy with her beau. I would like to finally meet her, though!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 13 February 2003 04:51 (twenty-three years ago)

three months pass...
REVIVE!

I just got my new passport. I am ready to rock.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Saturday, 24 May 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, more details please re: the date...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 24 May 2003 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Someone better have a video camera so that the "Graduate" re-enactment gets immortalized on film.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 24 May 2003 16:44 (twenty-three years ago)

I envisage Pete behind the glass shouting "Tom! Don't do it! I'm the only one who can make you happy!"

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 24 May 2003 16:58 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh my God. GREATEST MENTAL IMAGE EVER.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 24 May 2003 16:59 (twenty-three years ago)

He'd be using The Voice too, of course.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 24 May 2003 17:16 (twenty-three years ago)

I just got my new passport. I am ready to rock.

My renewed passport is currently in the processing process. I am nearly ready to rock, but not quite.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Saturday, 24 May 2003 17:53 (twenty-three years ago)

What? Another one to lose all hope?
