I wish I hadn't seen that Puma ad, to which I am now addicted.

I am in the beginnings of an AIM addiction.

My lil paradox is that I no longer read/visit any of the blogs, diaries, journals, news sites, humor sites, games sites, or boards (except this one) that I used to; and I'm still on the internet like 10 hours a day. Dudley Moore.

I still don't agree its an addiction.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 12 March 2003 22:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Why not? Because you don't feel bad when you're away from the net?

man, Wednesday, 12 March 2003 22:45 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah di you do seem to have been weaning yourself off....

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Wednesday, 12 March 2003 22:48 (twenty-three years ago)

No, because it think of it as more an outlet or sympton of a deeper problem if there is indeed one.
Otherwise I think its a small group of shrinks looking to make a few extra bucks by creating self help groups to medicate every potential behavour in everyone.
Soon they will be able to cure our addiction to fluids, just wait.

A quick search from our past:
Should more forms of unorthodox behaviour be stigmatized? (Dave Q words this question brilliantly)
Bend Over And Open Up For The Stats Cock!!! (equally brilliant thread in Kate's very own idiom)
Internet Addiction
Are some of us internet junkies?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 12 March 2003 23:01 (twenty-three years ago)

luckily not many people know my AIM addy otherwise I fear I'd be addicted to that too.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 12 March 2003 23:05 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm breaking my addiction RIGHT NOW by signing off and...oh who am I kidding?...NO! I refuse to become a slave to my habits! It's outta-here time fer me! (At least until tomorrow.)

(ps Kate sure has a way with words doesn't she?)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 12 March 2003 23:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Dud. I spend a totally unreasonable amount of time farting around on here and it does nothing to stop me feeling bored and lonely. Not even slightly. *sigh*
