i just saw a photo of that fox jarod leto (sp?) and he had eyelinered his eyes to the extent that they had dark rectangular boxes around them.

don't use it myself except to exchange phone numbers at pubs when there isn't a pen handy.

i have a love/hate relationship with make-up. i hate that its so trad for women to wear it, and yet i love to look quite over the top.

that's (over the top) the only way one should look when wearing it. i still quite like blue eyeshadow on a good set of eyes - even though it's super not hot.

i'm not sure about those bits flicking out to the side, however, di - approaching goth, don't you think.

what's it actually supposed to achieve? like isn't blush supposed to make you look like you have cheekbones - if you unfortunately don't - so what's eyeliner's purpose. bigger eyes? eliz. taylor?

I wuv eyeliner but am trying to cut down my usage of it as I have convinced myself that the slight dragging effect on the delicate skin round my eyes is going to give me wrinkles. Even with my lovely soft Ruby & Millie one (it is navy but I am not a rural schoolteacher. It looks prettier with blue eyes I think). My ph34r of ageing sucks ass.

Eyeliner makes eyes look smaller, especially if it's on upper and lower lids. According to how you apply it, it can give you tiny piggy eyes or sexy, half-closed, kind of slitty eyes (I realise this sounds Prince Philippish but I can't think of a better way to say it). White eyeliner makes them look bigger, but if you put it inside the lashes, you'll look like Sharon off Eastenders.

I never wear the dark stuff because I just can't get it on straight and I end up trying to even each eye up more and more until I look like a panda.

I love eyeliner more than any other make-up. HOWEVER, utter disaster, I have recently run out of my favourite smeary kohl and I have not been able to find a replacement! I hate eyeliner that stays where it is put. I like the kind which is really smeary and gives that smudged rock chick look, and has the smudger tool on the other end. It upsets me that I can't find any more of it.

hi guys!! I did not know you started I Love Style but this thread was so nice and 2003, I wanted to revive it.

I need an eyeliner/eyeshadow, charcoal (or black), not too greasy creasy. I'm not fussy really, but this is the important part: it needs to live in my soft bag that gets a lot of abuse. I never remember I want to wear makeup until after I leave the house so I want something I can take out of my bag and slap on quick in the car or wherever. I'm just using eyeshadow in a compact now but it wouldn't last a minute in my purse before exploding. Ideas?
