I'm going to try to stick to one thread, so you've got to keep me abreast (heh heh) of what's going on on ILX.

Talk about whatever you like. But mainly about the fact that WE HAVE JUST BEEN ASKED TO SUPPORT THE BANGLES ON THEIR UK TOUR NEXT WEEK!!! WWOOOOOOOO!!!

Oh, yeah, and post pictures of pretty indie boys you think would appeal because I've got to the point where I don't actually fancy anyone except That Annoying Boy, so you've got to get me exercising my crush muscle again.

You know, I've finally figured out what exactly it is I don't find attractive about Mr. Greenwood there. It's his chin. He's got lovely hair, beautiful eyes, a perfect nose, kissable lips... but then he's got this funny knotty chin. This bothers me.

More, though, please. :-)

However, watching Horton onstage last night, I realised exactly what it is that is wrong with him. I don't like his nose. He's got the same nose that I do - this silly little button nose. I wish it were enough of a fatal flaw to make me stop fancying him, but alas, it appears that it is not.

Considering that we were breaking up anyway, the "what are you going to do, fire me?" approach is not going to work. Outright begging is the only way. 1) We have 5 days, and we're not sure if we even have a rehearsal. No drummer on earth could pull that off cold...

2) HJ's drummer is a lovely man, but he's his own man, nowt to do with HJ.

3) And now we're getting some chain yanking by their management, and we're not even sure if it's still on offer despite the fact that I was told it was CONFIRMED last night.

I really feel totally sick to my stomach and anxious. We've been jerked around on this so much already. I think I was happier when we just decided it was a definite no and got on with our lives. It's more trouble than it's worth. Now I can't relax or concentrate or anything, just when I need to be MOST focused. :-(

Well, just spoke to our drummer. He's also sick of being dicked around, and understandably doesn't want to cancel his holiday over a "maybe we can do these gigs". Even if he goes on holiday, we can still do the Manchester date, but I think he will do the London one if we get it.

Now it's just up to the freaking management. It's like... they've been stringing us along on this for A YEAR!!! A WHOLE YEAR. I don't understand. I mean, sure, the Bangles wanted to bring their friends, but their friends couldn't get visas, hence the last minute offer. But christ, how hard is it to say yes or no?

Our bassist is ringing them in LA tonight, as soon as the time zones are right. If we don't get a definitive answer, we're going to have to turn them down anyway. So it's out of my hands. I hate waiting. Up until yesterday I was fairly happy with the fact that it wasn't happening, but now I feel like I've had the most wonderful thing in the world put into my hands, only to have it yanked away.

What do I get, o-o-oh, what do I get?
