I have grown (or attempted to grow) a moustache for comic relief, i have raised £140 so im happy with my bit.

The thing is whilst i am only 26 the tache (as i believe they are known) dates me and makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable, will there ever be a time when young men of england will wear the tache again just like in the days of football violence, keegan perms and too much italian sprtswear.

In one of the greatest uniforms ever (hey, I grew up in SD, so sue me -- bring back the seventies memories!).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 March 2003 15:25 (twenty-three years ago)

They get less ironic and more sexy every day.

for those who don't know, that man's name is, seriously, "rollie fingers"

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 14 March 2003 16:34 (twenty-three years ago)

tache, hat, name, card - is there anything that man doesn't have

james (james), Friday, 14 March 2003 16:51 (twenty-three years ago)

He doesn't have the career saves record any more I don't think.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 14 March 2003 17:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I love Rollie. Who's got it? Eckersley?

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 14 March 2003 17:35 (twenty-three years ago)

he might have the AL record but Lee Smith deffo has got the major-league record.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 14 March 2003 17:48 (twenty-three years ago)

he may not have the career saves but he can look back at his time with the mothers of invention with fondness

There was a piece in the Guardian this week claiming that moustaches were becoming fashionable again!

I was under the impression that moustaches had sort of come and gone. Weren't Depp and Pitt wearing them a couple years ago?

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 14 March 2003 21:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Moustaches will NEVER be sexy again. Never.

kate (suzy), Friday, 14 March 2003 21:42 (twenty-three years ago)

never say never Kate. I think I would grow a 'stache if I could go straight to the Bob Carolgees stage in a short period of time. I fear, however, that this wouldn't happen and so my experience would be like that of the young soldier trying to emulate his sergeant major, only to have the sergeant major saying, whilst out on parade, "Ah laddie! One of yr eyebrows has popped down for a drink!"
