May metoers bomb the city of Boston into tiny irredeemable pieces

AKA "I am special so you should make exceptions for me."

My wife has been driving the car for the past year and has picked up a ton of parking tickets. She's told me she was going to pay them, so I haven't been paying attention to them. Today the car was towed. In the process of attempting to get it back, she discovered:

1) She has parking tickets in THREE Boston area municipalities that must be paid off.
2) There's still an outstanding balance on our City of Boston 2001 excise tax that they didn't notify us about.
3) Because of the previous two, our registration had expired and the city didn't send us a notice about it because we were ineligible to renew due to 1 and 2.

Further more, of the three municipalities which hold her parking tickets, one forces you to pay them in person and their city hall closed at 5:00.

We don't have a car and won't have one until Monday. FUCK THEM FUCK THEM ALL GOD DAMMIT I HATE THEM WITH UNBRIDLED FURY DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE.

"metoers" = people who masturbate using their feet.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 14 March 2003 22:05 (twenty-three years ago)

And despite all that, you haven't posted so much as ONE BAD WORD about your lovely wife! You are clearly the sweetest husband in Bahston.

C J (C J), Friday, 14 March 2003 22:07 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah, that's magnificent.

Maria (Maria), Friday, 14 March 2003 22:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Posting bad words about her would be super-hypocrticial because I'm the reason there's still a balance on the excise tax (although I paid the last notice they sent LAST YEAR MAY and they didn't bother to say, "Oh, that's past the deadline, you owe us $20"; that pisses me off more than anything else).

MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK MDK PUNCH THEM ALL IN THE BOZACK

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 14 March 2003 22:13 (twenty-three years ago)

dang dan dude. Sorry. At least when this kinda shit happened to me in Chicago, I only had myself to blame for it.

hstencil, Friday, 14 March 2003 22:14 (twenty-three years ago)

This one's for you, Dan.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 14 March 2003 22:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan is a Very Bad Mang but one helluva husband. :-)

i was going to page ALLY to this thread, but she's already here!

Tad (llamasfur), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Dude, that blows. You guys should move to New York. (hint, hint.)

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I think it is an ilx bylaw that everyone must move to NYC by Oct. 27th.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:28 (twenty-three years ago)

What happens on the 28th? Do we all get kicked out of our apartments?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:30 (twenty-three years ago)

A group of those minion guys from The Final Sacrifice will drag you out of your house and kill you. And Dave Q/Rowsdower will just point and laugh instead of saving you.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:31 (twenty-three years ago)

If it's Dave Q doing it, it'll be worth every second.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 14 March 2003 23:32 (twenty-three years ago)

The combination of MST3K and The Onion have cheered me immensely.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 15 March 2003 04:00 (twenty-three years ago)

:-) Did you get the new DVD set?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 March 2003 04:20 (twenty-three years ago)

That sucks arse Dan-o. Same thing happened to me when I moved out of the city to Worcester. Went to renew my reg and discovered back excise, tix and what not. Cost me $600 to renew. This state really sucks the cock of all things Menino.

Chris V. (Chris V), Saturday, 15 March 2003 04:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan SHOULD move to NYC. He mentioned doing so ages ago - what happened to that? You were to live so close to me too. So sad :(

Nicole, you chose my birthday.

Melissa W (Melissa W), Saturday, 15 March 2003 09:19 (twenty-three years ago)

What happened is that the school down the street from you didn't grant a certain someone an audition because she didn't have the academic background. She might do an artist's diploma there, though.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 15 March 2003 17:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Nicole, you chose my birthday.

I just picked a date at random! That's spooky.

Nicole (Nicole), Saturday, 15 March 2003 17:24 (twenty-three years ago)

(pppst, Dan.. Seattle rent is half that of Boston. You can use Canadian quarters in parking meters here. And you only have to pay federal tax and sales tax. No state tax here.)

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 15 March 2003 18:45 (twenty-three years ago)

No meteors are to flatten Boston before I get there. I won't say this again.

<Thinks a minute>

Actually, never mind.

PS: Dan, that sucks.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Saturday, 15 March 2003 22:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone.

UPDATE: This whole mess is officially my fault because I found buried in a stack of mail from January a notice warning us that our registration was expiring and we wouldn't be able to renew unless we paid our parking tickets and checked into the overdue excise thing. The notice hadn't even been opened. ARGH.

Since the wife had to drive some people to a performance Sunday night, I had to rent a car today. The best thing I could get was a Buick Century. ARGH.

I have a huge headache now, I can't concentrate on the coding I'm supposed to be doing.
