My wife has been driving the car for the past year and has picked up a ton of parking tickets. She's told me she was going to pay them, so I haven't been paying attention to them. Today the car was towed. In the process of attempting to get it back, she discovered:
1) She has parking tickets in THREE Boston area municipalities that must be paid off.2) There's still an outstanding balance on our City of Boston 2001 excise tax that they didn't notify us about.3) Because of the previous two, our registration had expired and the city didn't send us a notice about it because we were ineligible to renew due to 1 and 2.
Further more, of the three municipalities which hold her parking tickets, one forces you to pay them in person and their city hall closed at 5:00.
We don't have a car and won't have one until Monday. FUCK THEM FUCK THEM ALL GOD DAMMIT I HATE THEM WITH UNBRIDLED FURY DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE.

UPDATE: This whole mess is officially my fault because I found buried in a stack of mail from January a notice warning us that our registration was expiring and we wouldn't be able to renew unless we paid our parking tickets and checked into the overdue excise thing. The notice hadn't even been opened. ARGH.
Since the wife had to drive some people to a performance Sunday night, I had to rent a car today. The best thing I could get was a Buick Century. ARGH.
I have a huge headache now, I can't concentrate on the coding I'm supposed to be doing.
