Would it be a shame if the whole universe disappeared in a painless puff of smoke?

Discuss with particular reference to the pyramids.

can i have the smoke before it disappears?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 17 March 2003 00:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, OK.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 01:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I want it. I want it more than anything. I'm not suicidal, but when I nearly hit buses I'm thinking, "I'm obliged to dodge, but it might be helpful if I were obliterated". If everyone, all at once, agreed to be hit by the mother of all buses, I'd be up for it. That'd be a fun thing. Fuck the kids. The bus in question could have as its destination "The pyramids".

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Monday, 17 March 2003 01:06 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh how I long for the US Army to unveil the mother of all buses by mistake.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 01:09 (twenty-three years ago)

b*ngbus!!

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 17 March 2003 01:11 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm the most cynical, jaded f*ck on the planet, but I still think it'd be a shame. I don't really know why.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Monday, 17 March 2003 01:50 (twenty-three years ago)

not shame

ron (ron), Monday, 17 March 2003 02:33 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll light the fuse.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 17 March 2003 02:56 (twenty-three years ago)

There are clearly worse ways to go.

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:31 (twenty-three years ago)

not shame

felicity (felicity), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:34 (twenty-three years ago)

does it have to be painless?

di smith (lucylurex), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:39 (twenty-three years ago)

I think about this a lot. If it's a particularly bad/boring day at work (like 4 out of 5) I can fall into this daydream where my Enter key is the button that will DELETE HUMANITY.

g.cannon (gcannon), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:46 (twenty-three years ago)

what on earth is that pyramids site??

ron (ron), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:49 (twenty-three years ago)

It looks like a very elaborate domain name cybersquatting site.

felicity (felicity), Monday, 17 March 2003 04:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Any being or force capable of snuffing out the universe would be incapable of shame. As nothing else in the universe could survive the act, no shame over it would be possible.

Aimless, Monday, 17 March 2003 06:05 (twenty-three years ago)

The world itself yeah would be a shame but the disappearing of people on the planet would not. Then maybe the world could go back to the way it was before we animals came into existence.

ali (ali), Monday, 17 March 2003 12:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah it was really fun back then

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 March 2003 13:21 (twenty-three years ago)

no because i havent seen the final episode of 'Taken' yet - armageddon is suspended until my terrible taste in TV has been gratified

stevem (blueski), Monday, 17 March 2003 13:55 (twenty-three years ago)

this question is answerable. There would be no one left to feel the shame. unless the silver surfer is real, he'd probably survive.

jel -- (jel), Monday, 17 March 2003 19:15 (twenty-three years ago)

YOU CAN FEEL IT'S A SHAME NOW AT THE HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 17 March 2003 20:38 (twenty-three years ago)

eleven months pass...
Yeah - feel the shame.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't like the idea of "Enter" ending the world, like a universal carriage return. Maybe F6.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Surely it would be END OF LINE.

what, have i seen TRON? well maybe. (starry), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)
