the law messing with my voib

The police came along and closed the club at 3.20 last night. Major :(

Jon Carter had played like 4 tunes. I'm not sure why they did this but it was a real kick in the face. Apparently there was violence in Dublin last night and so they shut everywhere down. Clever.

March 2003: with the passing of the Hongro Act, street violence declined to almost nil.

They will beat the melody into the youths by god.

rhythm = melody's trojan horse

Actually I'm in semi rant mode now though, something like this always happens, the DJ turns up but I can't get sorted or the DJ doesn't turn up or I get soaking wet and sick on the way to the club or SOMETHING. I guess it's the constant chase for a night which was better than the last one which feels like it is always fulfilled despite circumstances doing their best to prevent this, if it isn't DJ Falcon or Felix Da Housecat cancelling it's being in a club at 3.20 having seen Medicine8 do a crazy support slot, way better than anything you believed they could manage, knowing in your head that as good as this was Jon Carter was still to come, and then 3 songs in it all ends. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. We came back here and were way too high to be sitting in my room playing records and in its own way it was a great time but I am still crrrrrrranky.

the rat-tat-tat of truncheons on their skulls = rhythm's trojan horse

Sounding like a heroin addict part 1019302839082, by Ronan F.

Yeah I went up to freelance for a while and I felt bad cos absolutely noone was up there, like 7 people! He played that rifftastic Cosmos boot that he does and we were getting quite into it. It was pretty good dancing up there for a while cos you could go "hey this is a good tune freelance, cheers". It was like being in his house or something, I felt bad that noone came up for him.

I saw a guy who looked like Geir Hongro in a Dublin club last night - so maybe he was over sorting things out, but in a calm, friendly, and authoritative way.

if it had been Freelance in London that room wouldve been fucking ramjam - i wonder if he'll be at glasto again and what kind of scenario it will be this year (last year was unforgettable crushXor fun)

thats dicksweat,i think the thing that pisses me off most about dublin is how the police do nothing about the fact that there are constant fights and people getting beaten up which the police do nothing about,yet they spend loads of time searching people for nodges raiding pubs and so on...

as for freelance hellraiser,i would have gone out of curiosity if i'd been bothered convincing someone else to go,but am glad i didn't in the end cause i didn't go to sleep on saturday and was in bits by 9 on sunday and urgently had to ko
id like to see him play a headline set as well,i'm sure his set was as long as it would have been if he was the main act,but there's something about acts in the "second room" of clubs,even though i've never been to the tivoli so i dunno what it'd be like,its like arsenal having kanu on the bench when he'd probably get his game for anyone else (or utd/solskaer,real/mc manaman,etc)
