Two men arrested for grafitti'ing "NO WAR" on the Sydney Opera House

What do you think about defacing such a beautiful icon of Sydney for the sake of the anti-war cause?

it's only good if it's big enough to be seen from space. otherwise hang a sign from your window like everyone else.

Someone posted that pic on LiveJournal and I thought it was a photoshopped thing from The Onion. Then I realised it was real. Silly buggers only making things look bad for everyone else in the peace movement grrr.

Blah, whatever. I think it's fucking awesome.

Oh don't get me wrong, I think its pretty amazing - but I know people like my mum and dad will read the paper, mutter about "leftie vandals" and that's all it'll acheive with the great unwashed.

Shame, really...

I couldn't be more unconcerned about the NCAA right now.

Speaking as someone who used to go out to Vegas for it this makes me even more depressed.

Have you ever heard of the Paris Spring? Though I do agree it's better to bomb buildings which most consider ugly.

I've seen that grafitti used in a news segment as the symbolic representation of the 71% of australia who are against their govenrment sending 2000 soliders in this war without their consent.

Of course depending on the editing results may vary.
