errrr, if this is Isabel Allende the novelist we're talking about, I don't think she is actually a daughter of the former President, but a relative.

I've been assigned an Allende for book club and really have no idea whether's she's rated or bad and hated or what. My dad disliked her for supposedly leftist reasons but I think he must have gotten something wrong there, she seems ok on that front? Anyway, what does ILX think of Allende?
