Damn! If I got called on the Price is Right, I'd be so fucking excited I wouldn't care what game I got to play! I heard Drew Carey was bad, but I hadn't witnessed it myself - UNTIL NOW.

It's like he's read the bad reviews of himself and can't even be forced to try at all anymore. He's using that voice you use when you have to hang out with your most boring relative all day. And then some lady wanted to hug him and he gave her the Lean and Tap! What a dick!

During the "get to know u" contestant part, one lady said she was studying for a Ph.D., and Drew said to her "oh, la de da" and starting acting like one of those guys in the local bar you go to when you visit home and you tell him you've been doing something other than shoveling dog shit for a living.

Plinko's great to watch but winning anything depends far too much on randomness and luck than anything else. Same with Punch a Bunch. I'd at least want to end up playing a game that depends more on knowing stuff than having your plinko card teeter uncontrollably between $1 and $10,000.

I always liked that really complicated Blackjack-esque one — it was something like the contestant picked a giant-sized playing card and then had to place it with a product according to how inflated the price of the product was. Or something.

And I seem to recall Golden Road being pretty epic. That, and of course, Cliff Hangers.

xpost I don't know about that. I bet he secretly (and openly backstage?) hated the frat boys, but who wouldn't want some hugs from strangers who love you? That's some Sauron Lord of Mordor type misanthropy shit right there. And at least he got joy out of reminding people to spay and neuter their pets at the end of the show. Does Carey do that too? I couldn't make it to the end of the episode. Have the number of pets who are spayed and neutered in the California area dropped since Bob Barker left? Or were his pleas statistically insignificant?

Drew Carey's horrible. He treats the show like it's camp. I mean, it is camp, but the host doesn't need to act like he's aware of it.

A few weeks ago, a woman tried to trump another contestant's bid of $699 by declaring one of $698.
