This is the thread where you say 'hello' or say 'goodbye'.

I sometimes feel bad when I'm chatting to someone and then want to log off and, like, finally leave work for the evening or something. I might want to say goodbye but am conscious of the fact that it messes with the continuity of the thread so...

*THIS IS THE THREAD WHERE YOU CAN SAY GOOD MORNING OR GOOD NIGHT OR EVEN SEE YA LATER!*

Lara (Lara), Thursday, 20 March 2003 19:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Um, see ya later.

donna (donna), Friday, 21 March 2003 07:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Off for another break from ILx, if they've any sense, as I'm now doing for the next couple of weeks. The boards are very depressing to read at present and it's unhelpful for me to be posting even more depressing things to them, so...back in a bit, hopefully. Bye for now!

Marcello Carlin, Friday, 21 March 2003 08:36 (twenty-three years ago)

hello, back again. 1 boy in bath. i boy in bed. what's happening?

gaz (gaz), Friday, 21 March 2003 08:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 21 March 2003 09:52 (twenty-three years ago)

And now off again. Have to "surprise" some muthafuckas this evening.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 21 March 2003 12:38 (twenty-three years ago)

This is the post in the "this is the thread where you say 'hello' or say 'goodbye' thread" where I say "hello".

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello! I'm back! Did anyone miss me? I'm guessing no...

kate (suzy), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually Kate you would be guessing wrong(ly). I missed you...how did the gigs go?

(nb: ignore my previous post on this thread - feel slightly more up today, for some reason)

Marcello Carlin, Friday, 21 March 2003 14:55 (twenty-three years ago)

(nb: ignore that post as well, kate - i just saw yr post on the other thread)

Marcello Carlin, Friday, 21 March 2003 14:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello!
I'm glad your tour went well, kate!
I was in CVS last night and flipped through Cosmo to see Aaron W. I'm so proud. :-)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I missed you, kate. I'm also resisting the urge to flirt, tho.

hstencil, Friday, 21 March 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

toraneko (toraneko), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I posted a little bit about the Bangles gigs over on ILM. It was really really wonderful, it was just such a great experience. The Bangles were SO SWEET, and it was a lot of fun. If only being in a band was always that fun, we wouldn't be breaking up. That makes me sad. :-(

The only really bad part was Horton throwing such a tantrum that we got kicked out of the balcony at the SBE. Some cunt who thought we were interlopers from the cheap seats was really rude asking him to leave twice in a row, and instead of turning around and showing him our Access All Areas pass and saying snottily "This is the part of the theatre we are accessing right now" Horton flipped out and started screaming abuse and I had to take him backstage and calm him down, sigh. And then he went all weird and left on a really sour note. So I didn't really get to enjoy the aftershow even though all the Bangles were there being really lovely and Peter Holmstrom of the Dandy fucking Warhols was there and I was trying to chat guitar techie stuff but instead I was all pissed off and upset about Horton, argh, I am an idiot. Isn't this always the way? What should be the best night of your life gets ruined by whatever jerkboy I'm running around with.

I'm not really upset. I mean, the whole experience was so overwhelmingly positive. I mean Vicky Peterson - guitar goddess! - saying it was really fun and we should play together again. I know it's just backstage chatter and all, but it was just so overwhelming and wonderful.

Manchester was the first time I've ever *really* felt like a rock star - walking out from the backstage door and getting mobbed by people asking for autographs. Wow. No, they didn't think I was a Bangle, they had *our* CD. It was incredible. I am so happy.

kate (suzy), Friday, 21 March 2003 16:49 (twenty-three years ago)

That's so great, kate!!!

I'm on my way out for the weekend. Goodbye, all!

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Friday, 21 March 2003 16:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I gotta go now! ta ra.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 21 March 2003 16:58 (twenty-three years ago)

5am, nighty night. Kate I wish you'd HIT Horton sometime, hard. Also I hope you get to support the Go-Gos sometime.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 21 March 2003 16:59 (twenty-three years ago)

hello...uh, gotta go...

gaz (gaz), Saturday, 22 March 2003 07:21 (twenty-three years ago)

It's good to hear that supporting the Bangles was such fun, Kate.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:31 (twenty-three years ago)

Hello - I have not been here for, like, four days. This feels strange. Did anyone else notice how frosty Nicole Kidman looked at last night's Oscars? She was seated in the front row and it was glaringly evident that she was only clapping when the cameras panned in closely on her. That annoyed me.

Jerry - I haven't forgotten you, I just have a terrible memory for detail.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 24 March 2003 16:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Off again - this time to see a man about some shoes.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 24 March 2003 17:33 (twenty-three years ago)

What should be the best night of your life gets ruined by whatever jerkboy I'm running around with.

Why are you still running around with jerkboy? What happened since Woman delights not me; no, nor men neither ? For all that your life is a public document, the index appears to be missing. Maybe you could start a weblog with just links to ILX threads.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 24 March 2003 17:43 (twenty-three years ago)

four months pass...
Yesterday was such a fun ILX day and now I have to go on a business trip! I'll be back on Sunday evening, hugs and kisses.

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 6 August 2003 11:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Bye for a while

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 14 August 2003 10:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Hello to our new house!! woo hoo!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 14 August 2003 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

ok well yesterday i had a really good meeting with a commissioning editor which means that — assuming i can clear one more fairly minor proposal hurdle (re imagined structure) — i am actually going to be required to write and deliver a (short) book, to an actual real deadline (and wordlength!!) under the eyes of a very tough and smart task-master hurrah (this = my equiv of spanking possibly) (dear god i hope my task-master never reads and decodes this, tho he is v.cute, BUT i am not top-shopping i just need strong readers blah blah)

ANYWAY THIS SURELY MEANS I WILL BE POSTING LESS, UNAVOIDABLE LONGEURS IN DAYJOB NOTWITHSTANDING!!

THIS IS NOT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU LESS!!

(yes i know this is the SECOND book at one time that i will be in the process of writing don't hassle me i DO know what i'm about i DO *weeps*)

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 14 August 2003 10:47 (twenty-two years ago)

(this will not kick in for some weeks i don't think)

mark s (mark s), Thursday, 14 August 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

good luck on this sinker. you may turn out to be the first 'heavy' poster of ILX who actually completes a book.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 14 August 2003 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

*fightin' arthritis,crosses fingers*

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Thursday, 14 August 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Larcole (Nicole), Thursday, 14 August 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)
