I don't hate anyone... Except... This awful American man called John Vandiver Grice who comes in AV to watch "movies", with his slow, ugly voice trawling over his fat fucking tongue and squeezing out of his fat fucking lips, male pattern baldness and a slow, half-deaf, ingratiating Georgia twang, too loud and standing too close, only 25 and already old and staid and yet naive too somehow, urgh I really don't like this man.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

i think this covers me...

Who do you hate?

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Eeek

Is that better?

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Bah, it looks like this thread is doomed to Large Print.

I try not to hate anyone. Even the American government.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:31 (twenty-three years ago)

big letters

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:34 (twenty-three years ago)

fixed

Jody Beth Moderator (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:35 (twenty-three years ago)

nick southall

John Vandiver Grice (books), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Except you don't, do you, because you have no empathy or perception cos if you did you'd notice the "retard alert" sign we show behind your back everytime you come in, or you'd realise that whoever spots you coming in the office first leaves fast so they don't have to deal with you! ARGH! And then that time when I was having a poo and you were in the next cubicle when I got there and finished way ahead of me and yet you stood around by the sinks to see who you'd been shitting next to, and when it was me you were embarassed and left fast, you disgusting perverted scatophiliac!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:42 (twenty-three years ago)

i do now. you hoit my feelings, southall.

John Vandiver Grice (books), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Good! Go and die!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:50 (twenty-three years ago)

And take your horrible shirt/sweater combo with you!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 March 2003 14:50 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate you Ch4rly C0x. Sorry, but the time has come to admit it. You were conceited, manipulative, ruthless, annoying and you tried to steal my boyfriend and nearly succeeded (as you did with all men). I hope your excellent prospects came to nothing. There.

(Obviously Google-proofing rather defeats the point, but I always WAS scared of you.)

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I also hate the woman who just phoned virtually demanding that we give her a job. Saying 'but I'm VERY well-qualified!' does not magically make a vacancy appear, lady. Everyone seems desperate to work here right now. Why????

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

the only person I can think of is myself.

hstencil, Friday, 21 March 2003 15:43 (twenty-three years ago)

hstencil, perhaps that's the problem?

Tim (Tim), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:46 (twenty-three years ago)

I blame hstencil.

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:49 (twenty-three years ago)

too right, Tim.

hstencil, Friday, 21 March 2003 15:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Archel, people keep coming into the shop where I work, leaving their CVs and asking for a job. One mildew-scented chap told me he'd do "anything to work here!" I was tempted to ask him to give me fifty quid, and take over while I went off to the pub. I feel bad (yet smug) when I tell them there are no vacancies.

Madeleine (Madeleine), Friday, 21 March 2003 15:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate a few people. But I'd prefer to not name them. And I think it's an awfully negative, nasty thing anyway. Although the few people in question didn't give me much choice, really.

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Friday, 21 March 2003 17:38 (twenty-three years ago)

i am turning into the person i hate. i don't like it.

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 22 March 2003 02:29 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm just happy to not find myself cited here.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I think today I specifically hate the Internet too. Because I can never find anything on it. Not really a 'who' is it?

ChristineSH (chrissie1068), Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate my brother.

Shouldn't it be "whom"?

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Right now? No one in particular. Some lingering resentment here, some resigned bemusement there. "Hate" is a strong word -- it's been roughly a year since I've actively wanted to gouge someone's eyes out.

That sounds really passive-aggressive and sanctimonious, doesn't it? Does the phrase "I bear you no ill will" send shivers up your spine the way it does mine?

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:21 (twenty-three years ago)

It sounds kind of diplomat dinner party

Ronan (Ronan), Saturday, 22 March 2003 16:24 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think I hate anyone.

ali (ali), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 10:31 (twenty-three years ago)

No one hates Martin S 'cos he's grate.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 10:34 (twenty-three years ago)

people like to avoid SAYING they hate people, rather than avoiding actually hating people (i include myself in this). ie. they will bitch about the person, be completely hostile to them, generally act in a way which suggests hatred rather than mild irritation, but when pushed will say "Oh, I could never find it in my heart to HATE anyone!"

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 10:35 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I've only ever felt real genuine hatred of somebody once in my life, you know the "if a truck hit them I wouldn't even feel a little pang, the world is better off without them" type hate. Other people have irritated me intensely or hurt me deeply and profoundly but I still wouldn't wish them permanent harm.

smee (smee), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 11:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Too many people to list. Sometimes I think hatred is the only thing keeping me going - I keep on living to prove those people wrong.

kate, Tuesday, 25 March 2003 11:41 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate cows.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:08 (twenty-three years ago)

The cows told me they weren't too fond of you either.

That Girl (thatgirl), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:12 (twenty-three years ago)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:15 (twenty-three years ago)

What did I ever do to thee?

Finite Moo (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate that shiny bastard in the sky, he's too bright for my hungover eyes...FUCKING SUN!!!!! FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

DG (D_To_The_G), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 10:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Cows are dead scary, look at their eyes. Killers.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 15:01 (twenty-three years ago)

That horrible host on that show with funny animal video clips. He's much better muted with groups of friends substituting dialogue (in a tribute to the MST 3000 gang).

Other than that, well, hmmmm. Nothing comes to mind.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 22:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha! That guy's a dweeb-bag. He just got a spiffy new haircut (yes, I have no life)

chaki (chaki), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:40 (twenty-three years ago)

If someone pelted Jack Osbourne with maxi-pads, I would laugh for days.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:44 (twenty-three years ago)

this guy who works in the cafeteria who wouldn't let me go to the office during lunch a few days ago because it's necessary to be locked into the lunchroom for the sake of order. i hate being treated like a two year old.

Maria (Maria), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:45 (twenty-three years ago)

...and yes, that's the worst i can come up with.

Maria (Maria), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Students who insist on doing things outside the rules b/c they think they're special. *wink*

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:58 (twenty-three years ago)

You would have HATED me.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 27 March 2003 01:59 (twenty-three years ago)

You would've hated me back after I made fun of your hair, insulted your mama and whacked you with my gradebook. heh heh.

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 27 March 2003 02:00 (twenty-three years ago)
