Does Anyone Have Any 4,000 Word Essays On English Literature They Want To Send Me?

OK, OK... yes this is unethical. But I'm desperate.

Do any of you ILX people have a rougly 4,000 word essay on a certain perspective's (Marxism, Femimism, Post-Modernism, reader-response, etc etc) outlook on a piece of literature. Novel, film, whatever. Ideally, this won't already be published anywhere on the internet.

If you have one, you would be saving my life. Ideally, it wouldn't be already on the internet. Actually, if it is on the internet, I can't use it. If you do have one, post here, and I'll be in touch. This is needed within roughly two hours (it is currently 8:10pm GMT).

I'd venture neither, but desperation IS a good excuse (well, maybe just a neutral-mere-matteroffact excuse) for overlooking ethics.

I've got a few good 4000 essays, but I'm not sure any of them are ideology-led. What kind of text are you supposed to be writing about?

You know, that's not that long of an assignment. You are sure you can't just write it? Ask for a night's extension, stay up, and you can pull it off. Look, I can't advocate soliciting a full essay via the Internet. Why don't you pick an approach, pick a subject (book, film, whatever) that's relatively well known, and start writing; post an ILX question that asks people to brainstorm ideas and help you out on your way. If you can write about anything at all under the sun (within reason), just pick something & get cracking.

I've got a 4000 word essay on David Byrne's True stories but I gather from the tone of your post that by the time i'd found it / posted it it would be far too late(it exists only in hard copy). You're welcome to it otherwise though. I have no need for it.

Hey! Don't forget there are English Lit. lecturers reading this. Go and talk to your lecturer / tutor if you're having difficulties with the course. In most institutions, unless you've totally burnt your boats, there should be the possibility of some kind of negotiation (more time or whatever it takes). Plagiarism is NEVER the answer: a) it's usually really fucking obvious; and b) disguising the fact you have a problem (even if it's not a problem directly with the course) always causes more trouble in the long run.
