canadian humor is never very funny . i love david , art theory is important. Ephmaera tells you so much about Cannoical art. Like what thier aesthic values are. What the poeple thought about art. An overvew of theology and sexual mores. All the stuff you need to understand the stuff in history books. As well it gives you an indication of an artists progression or his/her rejection of progression. The problem is Ephmeara is lost. No one considers it vital and it gets lost and destroyed . So everyone save band posters, gig handbills, gallery notices, catalouges, sketchbooks, anything with design and illustration it !

Art is for wets and weeds and I diskard it utterly. Damien Hirst could not lift what the French call a concombre.

Sarah, Sunday, 16 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will hear no words against Damien Hirst, young lady! Oops, although he's neither dirty nor dronerock, I should take my lusty admiration over to that other thread, shouldn't I?

kate, Sunday, 16 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Damien Hirst is a dirty old man who smells of formaldehyde.

All about Yves
"I am crushing his head"

Sorry I am too tired to set up these two brilliant anthony-related yet mutually unrelated punchlines with actual jokes

rainy, Sunday, 16 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i have no clue who he is ?

anthony, Sunday, 16 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He is an American writer and lecturer, of art history and theory. My favourite book of his is called "The Object Stares Back" which is about he nature of seeing. This book sort of changed my life, tho it sounds corny to say it. Most recently I have read "Our Beautiful, Dry and Distant Texts" which is about art history as a kind of writing.
