Mermaids in trouble!

Apparently the mermaids at Weeki Wachee, Florida, are in trouble. The tourist spot has been in decline over the years, and they need to do some repairs, and oh it's just too terrible! Where will the mermaids go? How else will we get to experience mermaid culture? Why isn't Darryl Hannah doing anything to help?
