Oh hell, there's been a drive by shooting on my road

this thread seems to fit my needs precisely.

i heard bangs earlier (there must be a less juvenile, less onomatopeic way of putting that) and thought they might have been gun shots. then i went out for beer and saw police cordon around the beer shop (oh noes - don't worry there was another one) and turkish caff and wondered if that was something to do with it.

a policeman just buzzed my door (getting me out of the bath) to ask if i had seen anything useful such as a vehicle. i hadn't, having not gone to the window upon hearing the bangs. interesting events though.

somebody let off some damn rounds 2 nights ago where i was staying, whirlwinds of cars honking all night, drama, got th 10 mil 3 feet to my right, a 32 hollowed out n boxed up, bout t' get a semi long-- america's crazy, i want t' get th' hell out of here. i let off abt 200 rounds up north th other week-- i'm a good shot it's just like, when d' you draw, i'd hate to kill somebody for playing
