Hit Counters?

Free hit counters. Which ones do people use? Someone wants one on a website I'm doing for them - but I do seem to recall that sitemeter.com (who I've previously used) ended up spamming my email address to death, which isn't something I want coming to my/their work email address.

Experiences? Reliability? If there's a small fee for a reliable counter I guess we could look into it.

Any ideas?

sitemeter is what FT uses. easy to setup, referalls, nothing much else for free, but does the job

Tis wot I used too but I died from spam in the end which I figured out must have been from sitemeter! Dunno if it's any better now though obvvvv. Foax who are recommending things please say why? Fankoo Alang that was vvv helpful of you innit :)

I only care cos it will no doubt be MY email addy used for signing up innit.
