OK, I've recommended B&H Photo several times in camera threads, but I take it all back.
I ordered a camera before Christmas, got the body and film holders and stuff a couple of days before Christmas, and then found out that the lens was out of stock (nice of them to inform me!).
It then took another week for them to tell me (after two e-mails and two phone calls) that the lens was backordered indefinitely, another day or two to agree to send me a shipping label so that I didn't have to pay UPS/FedEx to take back their mistake. And another week-plus later, the label still hasn't arrived.
So I've got a $900 waste of metal and glass sitting on my fire place running up credit card interest.
This is such bullshit. Why would you send someone a camera without the part that MAKES IT ALL WORK, and then not understand why they're upset and want a return, then screw them around on the return?
Assuming they get around to letting me return it and refunding the money, do I have anything worth taking to the NY BBB? Charging me for an item that was incomplete and backordered indefinitely, without my consent (I wouldn't have placed the order knowing that it was out of stock)?
The best part is that the camera kit is still listed as in-stock on B&H's website a month later. Fuckers.
