HAHA good, g/f has a copy of that. But how does a book on photography relate to Kylie singing 'there's a dark/se-cret in me...'?

Enrique (Enrique), Thursday, 15 January 2004 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Punctum vs Studium. First is emotional, the second rational. You can have punctum with everything: Not only photographs, but also for example Kylie's singing. Ah fewk, read the book - it's classique - and you'll understand.

Little bits of unexplained and unexplainable emotional resonance in or from or through art / daily life, whatever. The bits that make you go 'ooh'.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Pun Kum is nice. But I still want to know why there is a shower in the blokes toilets.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 15 January 2004 15:13 (twenty-two years ago)

punctum = "ambushed by unexpected emotion"
