A Nairn (moretap), Thursday, 15 January 2004 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i have three....
i liked the renee french collective "marbles in my underpants"
"blankets" by craig thompson & also the book set thing that had a bunch of varied comic people & three books total in the set. one of those books was tiny & called "where hats go" . . . .

kelsey (kelstarry), Thursday, 15 January 2004 23:49 (twenty-two years ago)

dean! (deangulberry), Thursday, 15 January 2004 23:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Dean, what is that? It looks nifty.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 16 January 2004 01:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Anything named Persopolis gets my vote.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 16 January 2004 01:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, one would definitely have to be CONDORITO.

2 is too little.
The sands are always shifting.
One moment it might be:

1. Basil Wolverton's Powerhouse Pepper
2. George Herriman's Krazy Kat

and then completely change to:

1. Chris Ware's Jimmy Corrigan
2. Charles Schulz' Peanuts

jack cole (jackcole), Friday, 16 January 2004 02:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Those are all of last century.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 16 January 2004 07:17 (twenty-two years ago)

perspolis story was so complex, so ambigous, so inelegant and the art was so efficent, so elegant. i cannot imagine a comic that gave me more pleasure in the last year...

anthony, Friday, 16 January 2004 07:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Maus -Art Speigelman
Platinum Grit -Trudy Cooper and Danny Murphy

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Friday, 16 January 2004 09:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Maus was also last century

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 16 January 2004 09:49 (twenty-two years ago)
