In 1995 a new type of visa-Schengen Visa- was introduced by the following Member States of the Schengen Convention which are:

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Nederlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden

If you intend to visit one or more of those so called Schengen countries for business, as a tourist or for personal /private visit, AND YOU ARE A NATIONAL OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES you must first obtain a Schengen visa wich is valid in all Schengen countries and wich enables you to visit any, several or all of the above mentioned countries and move freely in all of them during one trip within the validity of the visa. A Schengen visa in not appropiate if you wish to remain in a Schengen member state longer than 3 months, take up employment or establish a business, trade or profession.

Apart from this so called short stay visa there are 2 other types of Schengen visa: the airport transit visa wich allows holders to pass through the international transit zone of an airport of a Schengen member state without giving access to the national territory of that state and the transit visa, wich enables applicants to pass through the territory of one or more Schengen member states on their way to another country. Please note that the documents required for both the airport transit visa and the transit visa may differ from those required for three short stay entry visa.

It's basically a plot to isolate Western Europe from those Third World people who'd like to immigrate here for better living etc.

DESTROY FORTRESS EUROPE!
